23% are against, 77% for, even if only in limited circumstances.

Apparently 49% are against enough to identify as pro-life, even if a percentage of them are willing to make exceptions to their objection against abortion.

If they are willing to make exceptions, they are not pro life.

EVERYONE is "Pro-Life".

Except for Darkseid. Darkside is Anti-Life, and for sure!

If you don't believe in woman's unfettered access to reproductive healthcare services, including abortion, on demand, you are Anti-Family-Planning.

It's really funny how people will latch onto a false statement as truth if they say it loud enough and often enough

I write about how important it is to make sure that every woman has access to safe, legal abortion services.

I don't believe that advocating FOR a woman's right to unfettered access to reproductive healthcare services, including abortion, on demand, is advocating ABORTIONS. I know the difference might be too subtle for the lower IQ readers, but it's significant if you're concerned about intellectual honesty, and not trying to defend the losing battle of being Anti-Family-Planning.

Obviously, you've never heard Jessica DelBalzo

And you missed a few in her article

"I love abortion. I don't accept it. I don't view it as a necessary evil. I embrace it."

"And I bristle every time a fellow activist uses a trendy catch-phrase or rallying cry meant to placate pro-lifers." (It would seem she doesn't hold your aversion to that phrase)

"..., women who value their freedom should be proud to say that they like abortion. In fact, they should venerate it whole-heartedly."

farglebargle -> RE: Go Fuck Yourself, Mississippi. Why do you hate women? (4/6/2012 8:26:52 PM)

So, show us where you support a woman's unfettered access to reproductive healthcare services, including abortion, on demand, and that you're Pro Family Planning.

I was commenting neither on abortion nor family planning. I WAS commenting on your total lack of debating skills.

So? She believes that she should not apologize or be defensive about a procedure which is part of comprehensive woman's healthcare services.

I agree. Anyone who thinks that women shouldn't have unfettered access to reproductive healthcare services, can go fuck themselves. They're the Evil-Fucking-Assholes here.

Why do you think women shouldn't have unfettered access to family planning services, including abortion, on demand?

SoftBonds -> RE: Go Fuck Yourself, Mississippi. Why do you hate women? (4/6/2012 8:43:32 PM)

I'm sure there are folks who are in favor of abortions for a lot of reasons.
China is in favor of abortions because they have a billion people in a nation the same size (roughly) as us geographically, and if not for abortion, they would have had an additional number of people equal to the population of the US.
Some folks cry about the "one-child" policy, but they have not told China where China could have put the extra 300 million kids, so...

I'm not against women having access to abortion where it is legal. I don't want to pay for everyone's abortion anymore than I want to pay for their groceries.

Please explain to us how exactly you are paying for someone else's family planning services. Do you have some naive belief that money isn't fungible or something?

I said "Polls in recent years have shown nearly 50% of women identify as "pro-life"."

I then showed a poll in recent years that have said exactly that.

No, you showed a graph that purports to show that nearly 50% of women are Anti-choice.

Do you have some sort of weird definition of family planning where reproductive healthcare ISN'T part of family planning or something?

It's part of delivering comprehensive family planning healthcare services, of course. Why would you think otherwise?

You don't understand how taxes work?

lol... This is funny for so many reasons... Among them... I can't share because of confidentiality agreements.

But trust me, I understand great how taxes work.

1) The legislature passes a tax.

2) The department of taxation and finance ( let's us new york as an example ) prepares the forms for filing for the new tax law.

3) The vendor prints, or updates their website to match the new forms.

4) Web or Paper submissions enter the processing center, (I'm going to abbreviate the process a bit here ) remittance checks are processed, and the funds deposited into the Treasury of the State of New York's account.

At that point, it ain't "your" money any longer. It's fungible. By definition. Any money you take out of the general fund, is indistinguishable from any other money.

So, when the Department of Whatever SPENDS the money, there's no way you can claim that it's YOUR dollars they're spending. That's just crazy talk.

Substitute 'Insurer' for "state" and the process works pretty much the same way.

So again, how is it that YOU are paying for anyone's family planning services?

You keep making the same pathetic ad-hominum attack, but again, you got nothing, so that's all you CAN go with.

Thanks for proving the invalidity of your assertions by failing to back them up and resorting to pathetic, lame personal attacks.

ANTI-CHOICER: "I realize this is a conservative website... but the quote is from the Journal of Medical Ethics. That's just one quick link.... i didn't claim the belief was widespread... i was just using that belief for contrast. Those who believe in this type of infanticide believe it's the mother's choice and the government shouldn't be allowed to interfere with that right. Yet i'm guessing most pro-choicers in this country believe the government's responsibility to protect children trumps the mother's right to reproductive privacy.

This is the same difference between pro-lifers believing in the unborn child's rights vs pro-choicer's belief that the mother's privacy is the prevailing issue. The only difference is we draw the line earlier in the child's existence. But to ignore that is our focus... our cause... because you (any you) disagree just isn't valid.

HK: This is the same difference between anti-choicers believing in the parasitic clump of cells' rights vs pro-choicer's belief that the mother's FREEDOM is the prevailing issue. The only difference is we draw the line before the parasitic clump of cells can function without an attached umbilical cord. But to ignore that (that) is our focus... our cause... because you (any you) disagree just isn't valid. I simply refuse to use the loaded language the anti-choicers use to attempt to frame the discussion in their favor.

Oh, we don't ignore your publicly stated "focus"... we simply understand that it is bullshit. As has been pointed out, you people could care less about the child (the Child is the entity that lives outside the body of it's mother); you're all about the CAUSE of anti-choice. And you all have absolutely NO scientific basis for using the Government (which, in the final analysis, is using the Threat of Force) to interfere with any woman's Freedom from Religion, Right to Privacy, or Body Sovereignty.

You anti-choicers don't "draw the line earlier"; you don't draw a line at all. You don't distinguish between an actual child that has actually been born, and a fetus that may or may not become an actual child after being disconnected from the umbilical.

We pro-Freedomers DO draw a line; the line I, and most (I cannot, nor do I presume to, speak for all) draw is this: if the "fetus" (I'm using this term for convenience) is unable to survive outside the body of the mother, it is not a child; it is a PCUC. If it is able to survive with medical assistance, but is still in the mother's body, it is a viable fetus, or a proto-child. If it is outside of the mother's body, and surviving, it is a child.

Well confidentiality agreements prevent me from giving you the whole story. P.S. I saw nothing lame or pathetic in the personal attack.

The line I use is called 'birth'. It's so important we commemorate it with the issuance of Long Form Birth Certificates and everything! At that point, the "baby's" legal rights begin.

It's totally unambiguous. Just look at the time and date written down

Before that, it's a private medical matter between a patient and their doctor.
