This is only disrespectful to God if you think you speak for Him

It makes no difference what you or I think... Are you speaking for God?... After all his words are written on the subject. We are talking what is disrespectful to Christians. To pray to God for

increased financial
support for low income women to access
contraception, abortion, and childcare

IS disrespectful whether you or I think it God like or not.

Butch

I'm certainly not speaking for God.

You certainly specifically are. Right there.

I see nothing wrong with the majority of the prayers... In fact anyone can pray for anything and God is the judge but it is silly to claim some of these prayers are not insulting to Christians.

Why insult the very people you are trying to change their way of thinking? I'm sure the majority of Christians would join with PP in many of the prayers... just not all.

No I am not...you and I both know the written word of God...damn how many times have the passages been quoted here... on the subject in the Christian Bible.

Oh, the religous right is trying to change their way of thinking?   Fascinating,  I assume you have a plethora of evidence of their evolutionary philosophy.

No. How many times have the passages been spun.

You are listing the will of God in this matter. It's nice the two of you are so close. Are you tennis buddies?

It's presumptuous, and it's bullshit.

Two wrongs again....lol... should we not start somewhere...or should it always be an eye for an eye?

Butch

I just read the word... if I get it wrong and there is a God I'll find out about it...Remember I am pro-choice so I could already be on the hell transportation list.

But the word is the word and it is clear…spin it anyway you like…after all we are assured free will .

So there you are, speaking for Him again.

OK I forgive you my son...you are the first to find out who i really am.

Butch

I'm making perfect sense. You think you've got God's will all figured out.

You should start a church.

It may shine a light on hypocrisy but it is still shameful. ...maybe they should have included...Oh Lord...guide my hand so my hook can safely rip the life from this body... All stupid crap that does no one any good. Tell me whose hypocrisy is it shinning light on? I would say all fanatics involved.

Do you really think it will change minds? No it will just deepen the divide in this country.

Butch

If you're so "Pro-Life", WHAT DO YOU EAT?

You can't eat fish, butchered meat, vegetables, eggs or fruit. Do you eat carrion you find by the side of the road?

"Turning the other cheek" is something that hippie "Jesus Christ" invented. The G-d of Abraham and Our Fathers is a Vengeful G-d. See Also: Pillar of Salt.

farglebargle -> RE: "40 days of prayer" angers anti-Choice movement (4/14/2012 9:46:04 AM)

Yeah. I don't know what I was thinking.

kdsub -> RE: "40 days of prayer" angers anti-Choice movement (4/14/2012 9:46:06 AM)

That is why I am a Christian...get it? Christian...Christ...

Musicmystery -> RE: "40 days of prayer" angers anti-Choice movement (4/14/2012 9:46:48 AM)

Do not presume to know Butch's will...

[:D]

farglebargle -> RE: "40 days of prayer" angers anti-Choice movement (4/14/2012 9:47:14 AM)

And where did you get the idea the Christians had anything to do with G-d? "Jesus Christ is the "Son of god""?

Crazy talk. Surely not the G-d of Abraham, Moses and Our Fathers...

Every time you pray in Jesus' name, you piss G-d off more.

Musicmystery -> RE: "40 days of prayer" angers anti-Choice movement (4/14/2012 9:48:06 AM)

Oh goodie. Now it's a Jewish/Christian cat fight.

I must have missed that in the OP.

kdsub -> RE: "40 days of prayer" angers anti-Choice movement (4/14/2012 9:48:27 AM)

Lightning and thunder is heading your way...along with a painful hernia.

Butch..aka you know who

farglebargle -> RE: "40 days of prayer" angers anti-Choice movement (4/14/2012 9:49:45 AM)

Well, if the Anti-Family-Planners are going to say that the Pro-Family-Planners aren't praying 'right', isn't it valid for us Jews to point out that the Christian Anti-Family-Planners AREN'T PRAYING RIGHT?
