I have to admit I have not known any BBW women that hid it... a lot that I know are very up front and open about it...

I put it clearly on my profile :D

In all honesty if I have seen it in any "group" as such it's more men sucking in their beer gut in photos

I just happen to have a calibrated BBW gage on the end of my nose. Just in case any of you ladies need to verify. Just pull up a seat an wiggle a little to make sure it registers your weight :) For accurate results, please remove all clothing first. :)

When a sub or slave says she is of a small, slender build, and she is actually a BBW,it makes it hard to find who you are searching for!!!
Why do they do that???

This is hilarious! My profile says "short and fat", and you wouldn't BELIEVE the number of men who write to chide me that I shouldn't say that.

P.S. They do it to combat the guys who take closeup pics of their dicks to make them look bigger.

That seems really odd. Have you actually met these women who claimed to be slender and turned out to be not-so-slender? Or have you kind of found out through the course of online interactions that their physical description wasn't accurate...and possibly, then, neither was their gender or much else about them?

You know, My thoughts on that would be how in the world would someone hide that when they first met? The truth is going to come out eventually. Even if you had gotten to know them, and feelings became involved, the person lied..that is a big red flag to Me.

On the internet add 2-10 yrs to age depending on vanity of poster, minus 3 inches form penis, 3 inches from breast , add 20 lbs , subtract 2 inches from height and understand fit means being able to get off a couch and walk to the bathroom....CAMs dont lie. too the original poster. you probably told someone a penis size at some point. Now go get a ruler and from the top measure and see how much you added

I have a feeling that often the men who are complaining about women being "fat" (and let's be real, regardless of how they word it, that is what they are saying), they are referring to any woman who is larger than a size 6, or weighs more than 120 pounds.  Sadly, the media has led us to believe anyone who is larger than that is "fat."

Think about it, today a size 10 in women's clothes would be a plus size model.  How unrealistic is that?  The average woman is what?  A 12 or 14?  Yet all these guys (usually with a few extra pounds themselves) think any woman larger than a 6 is fat.  So take it from where it comes.

I have a couple of single girlfriends who list themselves on dating sites as petite when in reality they are bbws. To them, when they look in the mirror they don't see a bbw. They see their former selves or try to trick their minds into believing such.

But ya know, guys do it too. When I was single and I would meet guys face to face, 9 times out of 10 they were much much larger than they ever said and turns out their pic was about 10 years old.

Why do people do it? Because they figure that once you meet them face to face you'll be so enchanted by them that the weight won't matter to you when in reality, at least for me, it matters a whooooole lot.

Did any of these profiles actually say "small, slender build" or did they use the term little?  I'm more apt to think it was the latter and someone without knowing much about the terminology used regarding certain kinks wouldn't know what they were talking about.

I actually believe it is probably a combination of both.  Many using the term "little" in regards to their kink, others portraying themselves as "little" in the *not bbw* sense.  But I still stand by the fact that so many men seem to think if a woman is 140 pounds, she is "fat" that it doesn't much matter.

This is very true - people figure when you meet them face to face it won't matter. The trouble is, if I come into a face-to-face like a coffee, I still have some mental image in my head based on how people described themselves (either from their profile, conversation about physical attributes or photos). And if people are vastly different from that mental image, I find that I have a hard time getting myself quickly oriented to the reality, even if I have no baseline objection to the issue at hand.

By this, I mean, while I have a preference for men who are a certain height and weight, I've dated across the spectrum on both dimensions. One of my long time BDSM partners was 5'11" and definitely carrying extra weight even for his height. But when we first corresponded (on the internet) he sent me a current photo. And so when we met in person, I knew exactly what kind of build he was going to have. And there were no surprises. We went on to have a really terrific relationship together. His weight was certainly not an ideal for me. But because I knew before we met what he looked like, and was so impressed by his correspondence with me, I was both excited to meet him, and fully prepared for his physical self.

In contrast, when a man claims to be something he is not, and I turn up, it is just too hard for me to get over my mental image going into the situation. In at least one instance, I have just had to say good-bye on the spot because the mis-representation was so egregious. And he had the audacity to say, "you're not even going to sit down to coffee", and I said, "no, I'm not." So generally speaking, I really feel it does not work to people's advantage to misrepresent.

Every now and again someone will downplay their good looks. It's always a pleasant surprise when someone does that. No question. And often a better strategy than going on about how "attractive" they are.

Dear OP,

I would say that it's important to address that issue with the women who are aren't effectively communicating with you. You don't need a bunch of strangers to tell you what you already know.

If it's a misunderstanding in reference to being "little" in a kink sense..then you clear it up, and move on.

If they were misleading you about their size..then you clear it up, and move on.

Allie

Fashion's invisible woman

Even as Americans get larger, designers and retailers cling to the idea that style comes in one size: small.

When it comes to shopping, the average American man has it made. At 189.8 pounds and a size 44 regular jacket, he can wear Abercrombie & Fitch, American Apparel or Armani. Department stores, mall retailers and designer boutiques all cater to his physique -- even when it's saddled with love handles, a sagging chest or a moderate paunch. In menswear, shlubby is accommodated.

But the average U.S. woman, who's 162.9 pounds and wears a size 14, is treated like an anomaly by apparel brands and retailers -- who seem to assume that no one over size 10 follows fashion's capricious trends.

I have to disagree with this, only in that in my weight loss journey, when I reached size 14 is when I finally was able to shop for fashionable clothes, and I did - Macy's, Nordstrom, White House Black Market (my fav!!) - It's when I reached 14 that shopping became fun for me. Now 16 and up - no thanks, it was awful.

Admittedly, though, it seems easier at some of the smaller stores to find smaller sizes. I'm less than a 14 now, and I do have more choices, but I did find some great clothes once I hit 14.

Now...as for why people lie on their profiles? Who knows. Because some people lie, that's why.

My concern wouldnt be "OMG hes not actually tall so i dont want him" as "holy hell he is a liar". That is a bigger deal imo.

Yes, this deceitfulness is one thing that upsets me when I meet a guy who has given me a photo 15 years out of date.

The other thing is the shock of not seeing what I was expecting to see, which makes my first impression much more negative than it otherwise would have been. Don't these guys know that it's better to undersell than oversell?

True, so true.

It also disturbs me that the acronym "BBW," in which the middle letter stands for "beautiful," has been co-opted by jerks who use it in an insult describing what they perceive to be the opposite of beautiful.

So, should I change my user name to "bamalittlesub?"

Nah. You can still tell that I'm fat from my photo.
