You can call yourself an escort, you can call yourself a "pro domme," and it may not specifically fulfill the legal definition of prostitution. But every reasonable person can see it clearly. And every reasonable person --who has no interests at stake either way-- knows what's going on: sex for money.

yes, i work in the sex industry, and i have no qualms about it. so do people who sell sex toys, but i guess they aren't prostitutes- despite the fact that they give indirect pleasure for money.

i don't spread my legs, widen my hand, or open my mouth for anybody other than my partner.

and since you need a refresher on what prostitution is:

"Prostitution consists of knowingly engaging in or offering to engage in a sexual act for hire. As used in this section "sexual act" means sexual intercourse, cunnilingus, fellatio, masturbation of another, anal intercourse or the causing of penetration to any extent and with any object of the genital or anal opening of another, whether or not there is any emission. Whoever commits prostitution is guilty of a petty misdemeanor, unless such crime is a second or subsequent conviction, in which case such person is guilty of a misdemeanor."

BDSM may be a kink but it isnt sexual favours. the pro-dommes dont need to offer sex for a client to go see they, they offer BDSM, something most guys wont get at home. Thats what most reasonable people see.

What's your basis for broadening the definition of "prostitute" but drawing the line at "sexual favors"? What does "sexual favors" even mean?

Most people sell themselves out and do things they consider unpleasant, distasteful, demeaning, and/or disgusting in exchange for money. We call it employment.

speaking from my client base, the people who i see are people who do not have time/ interest in a D/s relationship or want to get their feet wet in bdsm before they venture out into the "real world", so to speak.

being sure in what you want isn't being vulnerable- its being knowledgeable.

Right. "Knowingly engaging in or offering to engage in a sexual act for hire." That's what you do. I need no refresher course. Often it will involve intercourse, cunnilingus, fellatio or masturbation, but even if it doesn't, the common understanding of prostitution is that it is sex for money. People engaging in it, very commonly, try to find technicalities to say it's not prostitution. And those may work with the courts who are constricted by the literal definition of the law. But they don't work with common sense among common people. Everybody sees what it is: sex for money. End of story.
