ORIGINAL: Nosathro I beleve the topic of this discussion is "Stand Your Ground II" I brought the news article for that purpose. Your purpose is evident enough. However, these types of laws take different forms with different restrictions. Martin's death and will be decided under a different kind of self-defense doctrine. But it offers another example of how laws governing deadly force are tested in the nation's courtrooms and the many complex legal issues that swirl around each case. So unless you're just another crazed anti-gun nut and don't give a damn, as seems apparent, perhaps you should clarify the particular 'stand your ground' provisions to which you are raising an objection, and what you would recommend as an alternative. K. Where do I indicate any objection? I agree with others sharing their views, as indicated by this article there is a debt about this law. As I said I brought this article for discussion. And thank you for your commements. For your edification I own a Flintlock pistol, Match Lock Musket, a Blunderbuss, (all fully functional, meaning the will shot ammo, but the Blunderbuss is a bit hard to find ammo for it, glass and rocks is what I use.), and a 1858 Army Remington. I also have a crossbow, English Long Bow, several swords and daggers, including a Claymore, Baskethilt, two hand sword, Gauche, Dirk, Sgian Dubh, and Seax.
