Dude! Listen up. Liars that report could create accounts in multiple nicknames and lie about someone. I have a guy that repeatedly has stalked me for two years, using at least three accounts every time he contacts me. It would do no good to report him on your list as he just changes his nick. It would harm me if he reported on your list about me because I won't do what he wants. Why is this so difficult for you to understand?

It would be the one with the five fake profiles who would be making false reports about the genuine person o.o The liar, the "bad guy" would have multiple accounts and report you to 'the list' on each one of those accounts not because you really did anything wrong, just because he's mad or you rejected him or just for kicks and giggles. How would you weed that out?/

LOL, I wondered why he needs several profiles here, maybe he approaches people with several user names, they figure out, find him creepy, tell him something and disappear (as any sane person would) but for him they must be fake, because who could resist such a prize.... But my position is still this: (1) everyone will continue to make their own evaluations -- just as they do right now (2) the difference is: you will have a source of information (which you can totally ignore if you like) that might save you considerable time and energy OR, at a minimum, might encourage you to ask more probing questions so that you can spend your time chatting with potentially compatible people instead of people who are using this website to manipulate CM members -- but are NOT genuinely interested in the purposes of this site. Then - ultimately - no - this is of no interest to me: (1) I already make my own evaluations. I trust my gut more than a post from x (who I don't know) saying y (in whom I am perhaps interested) is a fake (2) There's already a sticky which says in effect (MY choice of words here) "I've met y face to face and had a positive experience meeting" (a "genuine" recommendation, if you like) (3) If I'm iinterested in someone I will be asking probing questions anyway. (4) I still don't accept your inferred definition of "genuine": Your interests are pretty far away from mine, and, in turn, from financial scammers. Someone somewhere would call each of us fakes since we dont meet what they are looking for. Each of us may or may not be the "right" person for someone out there. Difference does not equal fake, and a list of opinions on here from others won't change that. For me, your proposal is not of interest. Sorry, but I'm out. Good luck.

YES, the fake can just get another profile, but that's not the point you still don't grasp. as i have already said over and over, a dishonest person can create several fake profiles and vote many times against an innocent person's profile. ps edit - now i understand why OP suddenly gets ignored. watch how it works.

But, LadyPact, would such a "pattern" occur repeatedly and result in multiple listings at different times by several different people who present details re: dishonesty??? Look---I can invent all sorts of horror stories to denigrate my idea. But let's try to keep this discussion based upon REAL possibilities not hypothetical extremes which are not likely to occur. It is certainly true that any one person could concoct a totally false assertion. I suppose it is even possible that an alliance of troublemakers here could fabricate a series of lies about somebody they do not like. But the fail-safe mechanism is still something you are not addressing: (1) What is the actual evidence you are using to create the (false) impression of dishonesty by a CM member? (a) If you claim he/she is lying about their age --- ok -- where did you find something credible to make that a reasonable conclusion? (b) If you claim that his/her pics are phony -- ok -- where did you find something to establish the validity of your assertion? (c) If you claim that his/her profile is composed of falsehoods regarding his/her actual preferences --- ok -- where did you find something credible and verifiable to document those falsehoods? What I think you guys are still missing is this: RIGHT NOW---under the current system, you employ your brain and your instincts to separate out legitimate CM members from phony ones. Under my proposal -- THAT REMAINS IN PLACE. Uh OP already mentioned several times he has several profiles... My theory is that he gets turned down by somebody, then approaches person with an other profile, same thing happens...
