One of the stumbling blocks for humanity's conception of life is understanding that light is information. We can watch it ripple through stained cells of an organism as messages are sent from the central nervous system, and we can ourselves use lasers to carry data, but we still look for information outside of the light as an information source. Thus, "let there be light" would be the whole enchilada.

Vincent... folks here are always asking for proof...then prove to me there was a universe before life? You see it can't be done. Sure there was the potential for the universe as for anything else....We open our eyes to the universe and see light from billions of years ago but WE SEE IT and thus quantify it. The existence of a universe before anything to experience it is improvable just as instantaneous creation is...or the prequel to instantaneous creation which as been described as potential existence. In the example of the tree...there was a tree...there was a forest...there was a potential to be heard or seen but before life there would be no tree...forest...bacteria...nothing to quantify an interaction of elements so until life we could never really prove it happened. The potential was there but the actual happening can only be proven when observed. I am not splitting hairs I am proposing that life is necessary and essential for the laws of the universe to move past potential existence to observable quantifiable existence. Butch

But that is a distinction without a difference. Thats good science that there was nothing before us, we are what we imagine and observe, and we affect it. Vanilla Sky.
