Thats the same tired blame Bush mantra

Give it a rest

Obama had both houses of Congress, got practically everything he asked for in that time

Promised us 5 - 6 per cent unemployment with his grand stimulus, promised to halve the deficit, continued the wars that practically every Dem voted for (even doubled down on them in some ways)

And the housing bubble recession was sponsored by the Frank / Dodd / Dem "housing for everyone who cant afford it" insanity

I am sure youve heard of it

And those trying to create one party rule would be the far left

Who is your buddy that screams about Rush Limbaughs free speech on every thread for example, leftisst hate hate hate competition in the idea market (because they cant compete)

The unemployment rate for white men and women was unchanged at 7.4 percent, while 184,000 more black American's went without a job in June, for an unemployment rate of 14.4 percent.

The Republican plan is to make business WANT to invest in industry and build new plants. You know, like the countries that are stealing our jobs because THEY know what business wants. Reasonable taxes, reasonable regulations, Reasonable labor rates. Of course commrade Obama never ran a lemonaide stand so he doesn't have a clue. Union workers have to grow up too. When I buy a stock and it goes down, I lose. I am an adult, I accept that. well, when Clinton (DEMOCRAT) signed NAFTA, that big sucking sound you heard was jobs going to Mexico. If a Mexican will do the SAME job you do, what makes you think you should get a lot more pay? You think you are better than the Mexican? Be careful what you say! Mexicans are special to Liberals! Whining thats not fair won't do any good just like whining about my stock won't do any good. Times change, get over it. Hey, start your own company and make a fortune if you think its that easy.

If you want more wages, get an education, or go into a field that commands that wage with what you know! Of course, being the loudest in a bar doesn't pay much.

That's a wish, not a plan. What's the plan to do that?

The rest of your rant is just silly.

*We do have lower taxes and fewer regulations. Why aren't we booming? Gosh. Maybe that's not the issue.
*NAFTA was a Bush I proposal. Clinton was just economically saavy enough to go against his base and sign it. Canada and Mexico are our biggest markets, and their economies (especially Mexico's) revolve around ours.
*Productivity per dollar, not wages, are the determinate factor in the hiring decision. U.S. workers have the advantage of a much greater infrastructure. Where the jobs are going depends on the industry. Some here, some elsewhere.
*My portfolio is fine, thanks. In fact, I bought more stock all through the downturn. I'll start turning it into bonds as the market rises sometime over the next decade.
*I do have my own business. Three of them, if you count free lancing. Thanks. I'm happy with what I have. I also do a fair amount of consulting still, helping others to turn their ideas into viable businesses in today's market.

The kind of industry we need in the US

Considering the debt spiral we are in and the dire eventuality that we are being steered toward, when we go teats up bankrupt even those most in need will have to go without government help

It is rare I agree with you, but I believe the real unemployment rate for Black people is at least 20%-25%, nationally.

I have given up on most around here accepting THAT reality.

On the other hand, I am hardly voting for the party that I hold more responsible for outsourcing millions of jobs overseas.
Nor the party that I think primarily would love to have slave labor in this country, when they can't obtain it in others.

Greece, with a $312 billion economy, has a 165% debt to GDP ratio. That's bad.

The U.S., with a $15+ trillion economy, has a 1 to 1 debt to GDP ratio. Not great. Not a crisis. In the 1940s, it was 110% of GDP. We didn't implode.

We DID, however, do sensible things, like raise taxes when we were spending lots of money on wars.

This is what, or third "recovery summer" full of bad economic news? Where are the pro growth ideas that don't involve even more smothering debt.

If government spending really meant more growth we had ought to be in economic heaven, not blowing smoke rings
