I was thinking the same thing. I usually don't get involved in political conversations, but I take serious offense. A historically black college doesn't mean "black only". It means exactly what the label means. It's a college created by political leaders for black students back when they weren't allowed into white colleges. White students are allowed and do attend historically black colleges.

Speaking of kooky bigots...I've noticed that a few questionable opinions have been spouted around on the forums since I've been here. I'm "newish", and so I was reserving my opinion regarding that aspect of the forum until I had been here for at least a couple of months, but I'm seeing it more and more. Especially with Obama and the Trayvon Martin drama. It's not always like this is it? Because I find it a bit unsettling.

Runyon v McCrary banned all racial exclusion in private schools. So there are no all white and no all black schools in the US.

You should really do some basic research before you make such claims.

I try to avoid almost all discussions that include race on here.
I make it a point not to read discussion involving race or religion, that will upset me.

I have read enough of his ignorant racist dribble, I will pass, enjoy!
Unfortunately, even when you put undesirables on ignore, you than have to
avoid reading, what other's copy and paste {from the one you have on ignore}, when they are responding to it.



Lana, I have been here for 8 years, and I still love Collar Me.
I am the Resident Black Lady, lol.
I know how to take what I want, and leave the rest.
I also know how to take "little breaks" now and then.

This is primarily the only forum on Collar Me, I read or post on.
So I take and read what I want, and ignore the rest.

Absolutly correct I went to a historically black college. If they tried to refuse entry the would be subject to discrimination lawsuits, I know because the one I went to lost a lawsuit based soley on the fact that the student body was only 5% white.

Status: offline 		It's a little late to be blaming Reagen now is what we need to worry about 14% black unemployment includes more than 25% unemployment among black youth this means the economy is terrible and the very people the President vowed to help have been hit with the hardest burden. When they get jobs it will not be the end of it, these same people will then be the newest workers low end of the scale (due to lack of seniority) and most vulnerable to layoffs(same reason) It will take years for this to fix itself, we have to get the economy moving, it could be worse is not the answer.

Reagens fault because 3/4 of his administartion he had a mixed congress the other 1/4 the other party had both houses.
Obama is not to blame because 1/2 of his administration he did and the other half his part controled both houses.?

I love that term, "kooky bigots"!


I am a very selective reader, every now and then I will read 2 or 3 comments on threads like that, than run away like hell!!!

I actually miss a lot of the drama, by choice!

I only have so much time and energy, why beat dead horses or bang your
head against break walls?

My main dog in this fight, is to attempt to enlighten or voice my opinion, on how Black people are being disproportionately destroyed by the current economic climate.

Many of my "liberal" buds on here, don't realize it, refuse to accept or acknowledge it, and feel everything is just fine.

I have started threads about how the Black Middle Class is basically being wiped out, and is losing many of the gains made during the last 50 years.

Anytime the economy is bad, Black people normally are going to be hit the hardest.
Many liberals just can't grasp that FACT, Lana.
Sometimes, I just like to stir the pot!

Inflation was 4% when Carter came into office 11% when he left. True the problem had been going on for a while but it fell apart under Johnson not Nixon. Do stagflation and malaise ring a bell, both under Carter. Neither party is perfect which is why we need to fix today rather than set back and argue about the 70s economy.
