ORIGINAL: gungadin09 That's my impression, but not because of reading forum posts. People say, kinksters are no different from anyone else, except for kink. I don't believe that. I suspect there really is a difference in the number of mentally ill or dysfunctional people on collarme versus, say, the general population. I don't think it's a huge difference, but I believe it's there. It was pointed out earlier in the thread that collarme isn't necessarily an accurate cross section of kinksters and considering Kali's find I'm inclined to think that it isn't: quote:
ORIGINAL: http://www.news.com.au/top-stories/bondage-lovers-normal-maybe-even-happier/story-e6frfkp9-1111117296864#ixzz22UZW7CIi AN unusual sex survey has found that Australians who enjoy bondage and discipline are not damaged or dangerous, and might even be happier than those who practise "normal" sex. quote:
ORIGINAL: gungadin09 You say you reached that conclusion by reading posts here from people talking about their meds? I don't think that signifies anything more than posters here are more candid about any number of things, meds included. I wasn't talking about people sharing what meds they're on, I was talking about people sharing what meds they're off. Littlewonder pointed out that we learn to recognize the signs after a while here. quote:
ORIGINAL: littlewonder Usually if you've been around here long enough you can usually figure out who has not taken their meds lately. They usually become very agitated in their posts. The posts start not making sense or are erratic and angry. That's not something I've experienced elsewhere, I haven't been interacting with someone elsewhere in my life and realized that the position they were taking wasn't a position it was a result of their mental illness.
