Ladies, i'm sure you all have diffrent ideas of
when a guy is two short, and maybe even to tall.

I thought it would be interesting to see everyones
ideas on hight for a guy. and i'm sure some of you
will say it doesn't really matter, but if you had a
wish list and hight was on it, what is shorter than
ideal for you?

Or how much taller than you is your ideal man?
If a guy is shorter than you is it a turn off?

I think it would be interesting if you mention
whether you are a domme/sub as well.

I'm 5'8" so anything less than that I consider "short". I suppose if I were 5'0" a man measuring 5'5" would be tall. It's a matter of perspective.

On the other hand, there is no such thing as "too tall". [:D]

I'm 5'3" tall. I consider anyone smaller than about 5'6" short.

I'm afraid I do like my guys to be at least 5'6" because I do like to wear at least 3" heels and don't want to tower over him! [:D]

Master is 5'9" and that's pretty much perfect for me.

I agree. I am 5 feet tall. When I met Himself, I told him I liked tall men. He was deflated until he found out that his 5'10" height *was* tall to me.

The truth is, most *people* are tall to me.

I do, however, tower over my mother. She started out at 4'8 1/2 ". (When you are 4'8 1/2", yes, you add that 1/2".)

Over time she has shrunk to 4'6". I am six inches taller !!

And I *get* my calcium.

i'm 5'8"...and like to wear heels (and subbie)...so l like em tall...( 6ft or thereabouts...or taller)
find it hard to be controlled by someone whos shorter than me...so needs Him to be taller....

I'm 5'8"... and short, shrug. I have gone out with women who were 5' to 5'10". My height has never been an issue to me, if it has been to someone else and they have not wanted to go out with me, whatever. I'm an asshole so it doesn't matter and I am too old to care now.

I am a sub and 5'4" tall/short.. ok I lied. I am really only 5'3-1/2" tall/short.. [&o]

My ex was 6' tall and I loved having to stand up on my tippy toes to kiss him.. just doing that would make me feel all submissive and feminine...

My ideal would be 6' but I would be fine with a guy 5'12" too.. [:D] Too tall is anyone taller than 6'4"..

But really, I guess if most everything else important on my wish list was there in a guy, I would go as short as him being 5'7".. my first boyfriend was not very tall.. but he had a great ass!!!.. [:)]

Last time I put in preferences on a dating site, I put in 5'8" as the minimum. I'm 5'1", though, so a number of men will fall below 5'8" and still feel tall to me. I had a long relationship with a man who is below 5'8".

The height really goes along with a body preference in general. In my experience (as in...men I've dated and/or been married to), shorter men who are very fit seem small overall. Everything is just too....compact....for me. Taller men appear to me to generally be bulkier, which I like. Unless they are the tall, lanky type, a type I find no attraction to.

I'm a submissive and am 5' 3 1/2". I like any height for a man, I prefer shorter men. I find it more intimate to have him right there so to speak when we're talking, or I go in to stand by him, or kissing- we match. I like eye contact, I get more of it when his face is by mine. I like feeling a bond, like I'm connected to my man, when he's closer to my size I find more of that feeling.
I have dated men shorter than myself, it was fine with me.

I used to have a standard.. 6'2", eyes of blue..
And until I met the X, I kept that standard or above for all of my dating life. The tallest guy I ever dated was 6'4", and since i am just under 5'2" he had to carry a footstool in the car so we could kiss comfortably after a date. It was kind of cute and made me feel cherished and protected. Dating guys a foot taller always gave me that feeling.
And then I got older and it became less important when I discovered I could kick butt on my own.
The X is 5'8". He says 5'9" but judging by where I fit I think he adds an inch. And now, 11 yrs after we met I think he has shrunk a bit. When I am face to face with him my eyes are even with the bottom of his nose. I find I am less attracted to him than I had been, even though he can still use a tone to get my attention. I keep thinking if he continues to shrink with age that will eventually drop off for me as well.
Too short for me is about eye level. I don't want to be looking at someone and evaluating whether or not I can toss them into a wall.
Yeah.. it's superficial but since I am quite comfy on my own it works for me.

I'm a little over 5'10".
I wouldn't mind dating a guy who is a little (up to about 3 inches) shorter than me, though it has never happened, because men seem to be very intimidated by my height.
My preferred height for men starts at 6 feet, preferable even a lot taller than that, because I LOVE to wear super high heels and I like looking up to my man regardless of heels.
My husband is 6'1" and that seems to be about the average height of the men I've dated.

I can't really say at what height I consider a guy short, because I'm used to most guys being shorter than me. Unless they are really extremely short, it doesn't seem to register as "shortness" based on height and, instead it seems more to do with attitude for me. I've met 5'8" guys I consider short, and 5'8" guys where their height just doesn't register for me.

Yup, sorry to say but height has always been something I take into consideration when dating a man. I've never dated anyone shorter than 5'9". My preference is 6' or taller.

So for me personally, shorter than 5'9" and I consider him short.

ETA: I'm a slave and 5'3". I've dated men who were 7' and it was a lot of fun. lol
