I'm not overly keen on tall men, especially bulky tall men, though my hubby is 5ft 10 which is tall for me. A perfect submissive man for me would be a petite but athletic looking guy.

FR I'm not hung up on height. One of my great loves was around 5'6" or 5'7" with a slender build. Tough as nails. I'm around 5'3". A lot of sexy men weren't or aren't tall men. The actor Alan Ladd was 5'4" or 5'5" and he was gorgeous. Al Pacino is around 5'5" so was James Cagney. Paul Newman was maybe 5'9". Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Hugh Grant not tall men. It's like a lot of things in life it's what you do with it. If you walk tall you'll stand tall. I have a girlfriend whose 5'9" and will not date anyone who isn't at least an inch taller. She's turned down a lot of good men and dated some real assholes. Her loss, her blindspot.

A 6' tall woman kneeling and saying "Yes Sir" is a bit of a charge. On the other hand, a 4'9 'spinner' is a lot of fun as well. @ misokyst. I'm really surprised at how many short women are saying they also don't date men who are short. I always assumed that women just want guys who are a couple inches taller than them but don't really care how much more. It must really suck to be a 5'5" guy if even 5'3" women consider you too short.

for me i like my men tall, simple. it just doesn't feel right to me to have someone the same height as me, especially if i want to wear heels. my playmate is 6'2, and that suits me very well. so when i wear heels i'm still no where near as tall as he is, and that is just the way i want it. it's part of the over all attraction going on like the fact that i have a thing about eyes. my playmates eyes were what first made me contact him. he has eyes like jude law. short men seem to take offence at the fact that i like tall men, and yet they have no problem stating their own preferences. each to their own. all i know is; i'm 5'6 and you'd have to be 5'10 really for me to feel confortable. needles

I'm an equal opportunity dater. At 5'2 it isn't hard to find men taller than me. Can't say as I've ever dated one shorter.

I have a very narrow range of chemistry re height. 5'11" to 6'1". It's ridiculous and I know it. But outside of that there just isn't that click that I need. Luckily there are a lot of guys right around the 6' mark so it's never been a problem for me.

Combine that with my heel fetish that means that they were usually 3-6 inches taller than me at any given moment. Make of that what you will.

That's interesting, I just think it's funny, my ideal woman hight range starts an inch or two below my hight and goes down, from what I gathered from the female perspective, it's loosely the opposite. I don't know any of my ex's actual hights but I will say my perfect hight for a partner is around half a foot shorter than me. I wonder... if you could say that, besides those women with a specific prefrence, half a foot taller is a good rule of thumb for the general female preference? -ARIES

My 6'4" ex D preferred women around 5' even, which happens to be his mother's height. Makes me wonder about possible Oedipal underpinnings to some women's preference of men who are much taller.

My first bf was 5'2 (or 3 maybe), i'm 5"5 and a half. I never felt that he was too short, but i guess sometimes i felt big compared to him (yes, there's a difference!). I have to admit it feels nice to feel small, so since then i've enjoyed the few times i've had lovers who were really taller and bigger. Every guy i've played/fucked with since my ex has been at least a little bit taller than me. If i got to know a guy who happens to be shorter, there's no reason why i couldn't feel attracted to him, tho (if i like the rest about him i mean), it happened before. But yeah, it feels nice to tip-toe to kiss a guy. Or being wrapped into a big bear hug. Can't deny it.

I like guys to be 2-4 inches taller than me, and it may sound vain but it is nice to at most be the same height when I'm in heels. When I wear my pairs of crazy 6in platforms I don't mind being a giant, otherwise I do. I'm 5'6 and don't tend to like guys over 5'10" because they feel very far away when trying to walk and kiss a bit :) Being a switch I also like guys who are not much larger than me, as I want to be able to throw them around :)
