Denigrating those who were in such a place is distasteful and not deserved, by anyone. There is no evidence that McCain didn't do his time honorably. I know that most people given those circumstances would do what they thought was necessary to survive, including Senator McCain. Those tiger cages, and a lack of respect for human life displayed by the NVA could cause a lot of people to do things they wouldn't do otherwise.

The topic of this thread is the fact that the Republican Party is so utterly fucked up that it can only find a crazy cowardly religious nut-job to run for it. If you want to talk about Obama, start another thread.... Now lets get back to talking about how much of a fuckwad Romney is, and how shitty the state of any political party would have to be for it to pick him to represent them. Of course Obama is going to win if you put Romney up against him. Sheesh!

I'm sorry, ML but the subject here is that governor Romney is a "piece of shit draft dodger" but, those adjectives only get used when a person has an "R" after their name. These same people vilifying Governor Romney were touting President Clinton and Senator Kerry. Kerry - although only a would-be draft dodger - was a less than honorable sailor who picked the PBRs to serve on because, when he picked that assignment, it was one of the safest duties in-country. Unfortunately, it didn't stay that way for long as their mission was changed and their part in the war became very accelerated shortly after Comarade Kerry got in-country. President Clinton was lauded by the left for being a draft dodger (while people simultaneously tried to find anyway they could to slander BushI's and Sen. Dole's service). No, the lefties set the rules of engagement. We're just fighting on the same battlefield. Now, if you want to say that this latest revelation will cost Romney some votes; probably so but the people making the loudest noise weren't voting for him, anyway (and running to hide their voting records for the former commander-in-heat from Hope, AR.). Peace and comfort, Michael Edit: BTW: members of the VVAW made propaganda recordings for use by the NVA but there have never been any indications that Comarade Kerry was (or wasn't) involved in those recordings.
