I wouldn't say that you 'messed up' because you are a newbie. It's only human nature to have those feelings when an ex enters the picture. And whether people agree with me or not, I believe that He and she should both respect YOUR feelings. Your Sir should be doing things to make you feel comfy and loved and secure. As long as you aren't going psycho on Him with unfounded beliefs I do think that ex relationships should be tamed out of respect for the current relationship. I myself would NEVER feel comfortable talking to an ex in private and asking for advice if I knew he had a current relationship because I wouldn't want to cause any strife at all. So, my two cents is...what you are feeling is totally normal. I would not like it at all if my Sir called another female his best friend. It's good that you two talked about it. Communication is the key. *hugs*
