I think that depends on what culture you come from. If it one where men are not automatically seen as providers (nor see themselves so) I very doubt this would be the case.

It's because, if we keep this one, we don't have to tolerate whinny, duplicate threads on the same subject.

As someone who is not a financial dominant (or rinser/finduck), I have found this thread to be both interesting and informative. Financial domination may not be my kink, but I'm fascinated by it. I do wish more financial subs would comment and share their perspectives, although I understand why they don't.

Thank you to Roche for starting the thread and the lovely findommes who have shared their experiences. It's been quite educational.

I don't have any problem with the thread, although a periodic summary and a general outline of both sides of the argument might be good every so often.

Either that or a more formalized debate between the most skilled debaters from both sides. Kind of like those big formal debates they have at Harvard, with all the top minds - academicians, researchers, and scholars - getting together to argue about the top issues of the day. (And financial domination is, of course, one of the most important issues facing our era today.)

I read through most of this and also found it very informative. Although I did skip some pages so I'm not sure if what I'm saying is actually adding anything. I was a Domme in pretty much all aspects before I became a financial dominate. I think knowing the basics, actually taking time to learn about the community, different aspects of BDSM help greatly. I wish I had some way to get that across on my profile though, some way of saying, Hey I do actually know what I'm doing, I have experience and am not just trying to get free cash quick. It also annoys me when subs say their interested and hope to get a few sessions, pictures, or whatever free and when I demand cash up front they bolt. I have a full time above minimum wage job so I don't /need/ the money. This is just my kink.

Sorry if what I've said has already been discussed (if it has and someone could quote me things I'd be thankful) 88 pages is just a lot to get through before work.

Except your profile reads very much the opposite to me. You're profile reads like the thing we are calling "finduck" on this thread. When I read K's profile it sounds to me like the profile of a confident, assertive personality. When I read yours it sounds like someone who is so lost in fantasy that reality isn't even a distant memory. I have nothing against your upfront desire for strangers to send you money in exchange for little or nothing. It's just the entire rest of the profile doesn't read like anything I'd even remotely think of as "dominant". In the actual real world, what sort of "lady" opens up with "I'm back bitches"??

It oughta annoy you. As I mentioned previously, your profile is explicitly clear. Take some cold-comfort in the fact that it isn't simply you fin-dommes to whom this happens. Pretty much every stripe gets disappointed by potential partners misrepresenting themselves.

Jeff is right, this happens to everyone, lifestyle Domme, subs...everyone on the Internet gets there time wasted. The trick is to find ways to prevent that.

I will say it took me a long while to get my profile sounding just right, and I still tweak it every so often, that's bc I learn things and adapt to them. Of course there are things I won't adapt to bc it's simply not what I want to do or how I operate. How you do your fin domming is totally up to you. Embrace it and make the best of it.

As I had never looked before I decided too and K, to be honest, I adore you but the purple gave me a headache so I stopped reading. I do think you should share pictures of your ink though. I am an avid lover of ink and holes so yeah that is my vote.

As for Lady Layla's profile.....does anyone remember the game Duck Hunt by Nintendo? I realize you are young and I don't really mean to be insulting Layla but Jeff is very correct in his thoughts. I have no idea if any of the other ladies will back me up on this but over the years I have noticed that if you want a man with money paying you long term you need to make it very clear to him that you are in control of yourself. That you are not a foot stomping child who wants gifts because daddy didn't give her enough hugs when she was little. Now K is correct in saying you can do it however you want. It is your job and you get to decide in the end...but....you do need to decide if you want to sell pictures and cam sessions or if you want to learn to work books and have a man buy you a car, a fur, a house maybe. You say your profile will more than likely be updated. I suggest you do that. If you want to be called "goddess" or "lady" it is best that you act as one even in just your profile.

By the way. As everyone is talking about what should and should not be part of this thread and how many would like to have a deeper understanding of how findomming works I would like to suggest at least something that has not been talked about before. As a pro domme I spent three hours last night explaining how the price scale works. For those who do findomming, and all things having to do with it, would you mind sharing with the class how it is you go about charging a man for your time? I intend to write my own answer out and post it a little later.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm sorry my profile comes across as finduck-ish. The last time I was on collerme ended with a lot of harassment and almost suicide. I know that is a little oversharing but I'm just trying to explain I'm not very good at presenting myself how I am in real life. Trust me, I've never thrown any kind of tantrum from not getting what I want, I have a full time job and take care of myself. This just happens to be my kink.

Also I don't see what my age has anything to do with this. I'm not taking offense or trying to sound bitchy, as I do understand people usually act their own ages but since you don't know me personally you can't assume because I'm young I have less experience. Maybe less years worth but I have done more in 23 years than most people. But based on the advice given I have changed some of my profile and am hoping it seems better.
