ORIGINAL: mnottertail Ah, I am no big fan of Obama myself, but comparatively.......... Comparatively there is very little difference. Obama has done so much to solidify fascism in the USA I simply can not vote for him. Obama earned my contempt by promising hope and change then continuing to move the USA towards a police state. Could you perhaps list what the President has done to move the country toward fascism? Of course I can. First here's a quote from someone who posted this anonymously but who sums up the choice in this election better than I: "Romney may be a hedge fund parasite, just another psychopathic, mythologizing Wall Street thief, but he has not, to my knowledge, committed any war crimes, murder, or treason. He has not gutted the Constitution in favor of a corporatist police state, with military troops on the streets and Homeland security goons throwing up roadblocks and strip-searching toddlers with Chertoff radiation machines. Those aren't Romney's Fed and Treasury lieutenants, blatant holdovers from the Bush crime syndicate, that continue to surrender trillions of dollars to the banking mafia. It's not Romney who has ordered the unlawful imprisonment and torture of citizens and non-citizens alike; it is not Mitt's Pentagon sending flying robots all around the world to commit wanton murder, like some sort of deranged super-villain in the pay of McDonnell Douglas. True, Romney is eager to do all these things, but he hasn't actually done them yet -- and since we profess to believe in the rule of law, we can't hold Romney accountable for crimes he has not yet committed. That makes him the lesser of two evils compared to a certain war criminal with a peace prize." Add to that the Patriot Act renewals, the NDAA, Obama claiming the right to murder US citizens extra judicially, shutting down more MMJ dispensaries in 4 years than Bush did in 8 (after promising to leave them alone), providing assistance to islamists in Libya Egypt and Syria, and much much more.
