Been meaning to post this OKC article:

The Big Lies People Tell In Online Dating

"I'm bisexual."

REALITY: 80% of self-identified bisexuals are only interested in one gender.

OkCupid is a gay- and bi-friendly place and it's not our intention here to call into question anyone's sexual identity. But when we looked into messaging trends by sexuality, we were very surprised at what we found. People who describe themselves as bisexual overwhelmingly message either one sex or the other, not both as you might expect. Site-wide, here's how it breaks out:

This suggests that bisexuality is often either a hedge for gay people or a label adopted by straights to appear more sexually adventurous to their (straight) matches. You can actually see these trends in action in the chart below.

Again, this is just the data we've collected. We'd be very interested in our bisexual users' thoughts on this single-sex-messaging phenomenon, so if you'd like to weigh-in please use the comments section. Please note, everybody, that we don’t assume that bis should be “into both genders equally.” We only assume that they should be into both genders at all. The swaths of red and blue that you see in these sexuality charts represent people who message only one gender. The purple areas are people who send any messages, in whatever proportion, to both men and women.

...

12% of women under 35 on OkCupid (and the internet in general, I'd wager) self-identify as bi. However, as you can see above, only about 1 in 4 of those women is actually into both guys and girls at the same time. I know this will come as a big letdown to the straight male browsing population: three-fourths of your fantasies are, in fact, fantasies of a fantasy. Like bi men, most bi women are, for whatever reason, not observably bi. The primacy of America's most popular threesome, two dudes and an Xbox, is safe.

I pretty much exclusively send messages to ladies on OkCupid because I have a live-in boyfriend and no local female partners and because I get so many messages from guys to begin with... It's likely I'm a part of that figure because of it, but I'm certainly biamorous if not 100% bisexual.

What do you think?

I think LadyPact nailed it.

I do know my own life partner means "I like people, not body parts".

As to your frustration, I would imagine looking for lesbians might be more fruitful.

Sometimes you don't get invited and you have to be confident enough that, when it occurs, you dont feel threatened.

Not being invited seems like the preferrable option, unless one is taking cabergoline or something similar to eliminate postclimactic fatigue. I figure I might feel rather inadequate if faced with the prospect of trying to satisfy two women, and somewhat redundant if they're taking care of each other well enough without me. Not necessarily an insurmountable obstacle, but I do think it would diminish overall enjoyment.

I already find myself telling her to back off occasionally so I can focus on the action and not get swept up in some distracting orgasm and subsequent temporary fatigue. Orgasms are actually better by myself, particularly the third in a series. I haven't yet been able to have multiples with her while maintaining full participation in the action.

Apart from a few fantasy acts whose duration would never suffice to satisfy all parties to the interaction, I can't really think of a reason to add another girl. Having one to take over when I've had my fill or need to rehydrate, maybe. Again, of course, this is with the caveat that it's only applicable in the absence of chemicals that bypass this particular disadvantage of being male. Using such substances, men can pretty much keep up in this regard, if they've learned to let go enough.

That said, we've both already had interactions with other people, without both being present, and it hasn't been a problem.

Not sure if that's got anything to do with confidence, though.

IWYW,

All of this, of course, is said with an apology to littlewonder, but I think by now she knows that I kind of enjoy her suffering. [:D]

Who doesn't?

Kana and littlewonder should have their own TV show. [:D]

Forced† bisexual encounters are one of the joys in life that I've missed out on by virtue of my beloved being bisexual‡, and I'm sort of jealous of Kana that he might get to indulge in this bit of sadism. I tell ya, the world is cruel to the point of universal sadism sometimes.

† In the sense of "orientation violation", not "permission to do what I want but can't own up to".
‡ In the sense of "I like people, what's this orientation thing you speak of?"

OMG, if we had our own reality show, you guys would be falling asleep after 5 minutes! LOL Honestly. These days we're both lucky if we have any energy to do anything other than sleep, which he blames on me for feeding him. <sshhh...it's my secret weapon....feed him till he falls asleep and he'll forget allllll about tormenting me. Oh, and if that doesn't work....a massage...does it everytime. [;)] [8D]>

I've had male-BJ fantasies myself - but, kiss a man? Yuck. Big faces, bristly chins? Never! Funny.

Yanno, I'm thinking you nailed something here, though I'm not sure what it is. Getting head from a man seems mildly appealing, anal doesn't seem offputting, and I can wrap my head around giving head with some effort, but I find the idea of kissing squicks me like few other things do. It's presently on par with a Roman shower for me, and pretty much kills the mood entirely to think about as a participant. This from the other side of the kneel, not that I think that bit matters.

TV show, not reality show. Just the juicy bits. [:D]

Incidentally, if you're ever in the area, I think I know a few sadistic wimminz that might be inclined to indulge this particular kink. [8D]

Oh well in that case! It still might be a year to even shoot 6 episodes. [8D]

OsideGirl -> RE: Bisexual submissive women (10/5/2012 10:57:53 AM)

I just got another one today. After four emails it comes out that it would be HER Master using us together. It started as a negotiation between two women to play and have fun, then suddenly it's about me giving control to some strange guy. Ummm, no.
