Micromanagement is possible. I have been in such a situation. It is at times frustrating and at times comforting. I thrive under micromanagement. I don't define micromanagement as a dom standing over me 24/7. I see it as setting structure. imposing rules, providing a detailed schedule, limiting access to cash (not asset control), punishment. Not military role play, but very similar to military conditioning and discipline. i agree micromanagement must be implemented by someone who craves being in control. In my experience that person was not insecure. Just the opposite. Perhaps an alpha, alpha dominant. Also, in my experience, the need for hands on supervision lessens over time, though there will be points where reinforcement is necessary. Think Pavlov. Not everyone, probably not even a majority, seek to impose or endure micromanagement. But that does not mean it is a fantasy or is impossible to achieve.
