Remove ourselves from GATT and NAFTA.  Correct corporate enabling laws.  Regulate multi-nationals. Overturn the supreme court ruling that corporations are people. Tax overseas profits heavily if the it is an American corporation with the jobs overseas, or outsourced overseas.

Clearly the middle class are the jobs creators, and the wealth creators, since they drive the demand.

LOL. Arithmetic over illusion. Clinton is right about Romney, but does Obama's plan do what the math says is necessary? Well, the math says neither Obama or Romney can do what they say they can do while simultaneously preventing the financial troubles on their way like a trainwreck.

It's politics.

Amazing. I agree. Interesting as Obama said in the debate how he has fostered more trade agreements. Romney wants more too.

mnottertail -> RE: Town Hall Debate (10/17/2012 7:00:09 AM)

If the trade agreements are fair to us as well as fair to the partner fine.  If not, not. Either that or dump em all.  But still GATT and NAFTA are toilet flushers.

True enough, but one believes that the $5 trillion dive into debt will cure something.   That's Willard, and thats why he would destroy the country as president.

CU [University of Colorado] Political Science Professor Dr. Michael Berry, who spoke with Campus Reform at length on Tuesday, said there is at least 77 percent chance that Romney will win the popular vote... Berry noted his model has never been wrong at predicting the outcome of a presidential election. “For the last eight presidential elections, this model has correctly predicted the winner,” he said.

That's what I'm afraid of. It's sickening to hear Republicans talk about the importance of jobs after they deliberately voted no on jobs bills to make Obama a one term president. They even admitted it! Therefore, Republicans have proven they don't care about jobs. This fact should've been thrown in Romney's face every time he mentioned jobs in the presidential debate. The party of no jobs gained control in the House only 2 years after President Obama was elected, not 4. Since a president's hands are tied without the cooperation of Congress, the President had only 2 years to help the economy, not 4. I can't understand why more people don't see that and I don't understand why Republicans voting against jobs bills hasn't been brought up at every presidential debate. On the plus side, President Obama did win the Town Hall Debate.

Isn't that the database that is based on regression analysis?  It knew after the fact?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

of course you couldnt actually come up with something that makes TP article wrong, could you....

stellauk -> RE: Town Hall Debate (10/17/2012 8:13:50 AM)

I watched the debate as I did the Biden Ryan debate and the first one.

It must be good having a President you can blame everything on and pick holes in his policies. It can't be easy being a President in a country where in the eyes of so many people your face doesn't fit. Much easier than facing up to the situation and trying to work together to come up with something better, isn't it?

There's been a global economic crisis recently. The free market economy has collapsed. It's over, finished, history, and no amount of wishful thinking, living in the past and Mitt Romney's words is ever going to get it working again.

Having a little trouble with the whole contexts-vision thingie, it seems. It may be a result of staring into the thousand points of light too long.
