Try to make some common sense, and not use your spidey sense.
cos its severely depleted

I was rather impressed by the Bamsters performance tonight. It wasn't nearly as dreadful as his last attempt at debating Romney. Although, it was pretty obvious that Obama is still intimidated by Romney.

-SD-

I hardly think Obama is intimidated by Romney. But I do think Romney is good at the intimidation game. After all, he's a top-notch player in business and has to be "tough", and Obama doesn't like to appear angry or upset on TV. Two different styles. The bottom line though, is who is telling the truth and who would be better for the middle class?

**well, let me edit that....who is closer to the truth? [;)]

Well I could post a partisan list of all of Obama's lies... But would it matter?

The true believers in Obama have been dismissing his lies for five years now, so no it really shouldn't matter... Especially to an ex-pat Brit living in Canada.

Thinkprogress is not a credible source, never has been, never will be.

The popular vote has very little to do with the winner. After all, Bush Jr. lost the popular vote both times, yet still got his 8 years.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_2004

Bush: 50.7% of the popular vote
Kerry: 48.3% of the popular vote.

Electoral vote: Bush 286 - 251

Compared to ThinkProgress? Hell Breitbart is more legitimate than ThinkProgress.

Fox is as legitimate as CNN or MSNBC, ThinkProgress is the equvilient of RedState or HotAir.com

servantboy47 -> RE: Town Hall Debate (10/17/2012 2:04:38 PM)

Well, Obama loves "Strawmen" doesn't he?
All that talk about "saving women?" Birth control for women?
Gee, he's a little *LATE* on those things!
For the past 30-40 years no woman has been "denied" birth control.
And equal pay has been the law of the land for decades now.
All anyone has to do is turn on the t.v. and you'll see women in the top jobs in television and also the top jobs in t.v. that you don't see, ad execs, managers etc.
*"War on women?"* Where? By who?
What is Obama going to do next,..."free the slaves?"

That has got to be the single most inane statement ever made in the history of the world.

Had you said Brietbart is as legitimate as Boortz, meaning not at all, that would show some intelligence.

Im so glad I burn your boogers Rob.....and after all this time too:)

I asked you for something to PROVE TP s list as wrong... not wether they were a reliable source. Yanno, some ACTUAL proof they were not true, because, in MY book, that is what makes the difference.

I already have my own list of obamas "myths" because I went to "factcheck.org" where they have a list of myths from both sides, AND a list of times that the debate RULES were broken, and by who, but you chose to ignore my question.
So be a good chap and show me where any of the "myths" that TP stated were wrong...
without a derail???
Pretty please...
Or not

They have been denied coverage, and not just for the "pill"

state-mandated, medically unnecessary ultrasounds

forcing women to tell their employers why they want birth control

Cutting funding for PP

Attempting to make it impossible for abortion clinics to operate at all

equal pay - amazing how anyone knows if they are equally paid or not since employers usually have a clause preventing employees from discussing their salary with other employees.

most commonly used in a context of sexual discrimination, as equal pay for women. Equal pay does not simply relate to basic salary but also to the full range of benefits, non salary payments, bonuses and allowances that are paid.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equal_pay_for_equal_work

The Paycheck Fairness Act would help combat wage discrimination by strengthening the Equal Pay Act in critical ways, including by providing incentives to employers to pay women fairly and by preventing employers from retaliating against women and men for discussing their pay with each other.

DomKen -> RE: Town Hall Debate (10/17/2012 2:27:22 PM)

What strikes me as proof that the cons know they are attacking women's rights is their complaints about the rest of us getting worked up over it. If they had no intention of threatening those hard won rights then liberals would be wasting their time and energy on something that doesn't matter which would serve to distract us from some other avenue that was truly important to cons.

tazzygirl -> RE: Town Hall Debate (10/17/2012 2:29:30 PM)

I see the problem as they really are out of touch with technology. They dont seem to understand that their words, both present and past, are immortalized on the web.. and easily found.

So DomKen, do you think it's neccessary that Obama fight for women's rights?
Which area there do you think is lacking?

equal pay for equal work
women's health care (including but not limited to contraceptives and abortion)
equal education (still see reports of teachers telling girls "girls don't do math or science.")
The glass ceiling
hell the list would go on for pages. Suffice it to say equal and full participation in all parts of society and full control of their bodies and sexuality.

Karl Marx -- probably one of the earliest income resitribution type of guy! [:)]

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Who_said_opiate_of_the_masses

I'm quite aware who said that and Right Wing radio also uses one of the tenets of Lenin and Goebbels.

"Tell a lie often enough and with enough conviction, it becomes the truth"

So what's your fucking point?
Does it have fuckall to do with the topic?

If you want to go back to the earliest 'redistribution guy", you might want to look at.....Jesus (loaves and fishes).

So what's your fucking point?

All forum posts are open to legitimate analysis... but seeing as though you are aggrieved about my observation, let me explain myself and go further then.

I can concede your point on the loaves on fishes but the truth is, you knew my insinuation with Karl Marx ( hardly a right wing guy ) and my comparison with the current President.

So it has plenty to do with this Topic... and just to highlight, literally and figuratively your point below:

"Tell a lie often enough and with enough conviction, it becomes the truth"

That is equally applicable for both far right and far left radio!

Politesub53 -> RE: Town Hall Debate (10/18/2012 4:55:39 AM)

Good to see the debate moderator nail Romney on his lie about Libya and Obama not calling it an act of terror for 14 days, when he infact blamed terrorists the day after.

Carney identified the inflammatory video, which denigrated the prophet Mohammed, as the spark that incited the violence and led to the Americans’ deaths. “These protests were in reaction to a video that had spread to the region,” he said. “The cause of the unrest was a video, and that continues today, as you know, as we anticipated. And it may continue for some time.”

Challenged by reporters to explain how the government affirmed that a video was the catalyst in Benghazi, the president’s spokesman said, “It's not an assumption. . . . What I'm telling you is this is under investigation. The unrest around the region has been in response to this video. We do not, at this moment, have information to suggest or to tell you that would indicate that any of this unrest was pre-planned.”

A non-preplanned terrorist attack. Right.

You Obama-ites will swallow anything. [8|]

I didn't say it wasn't didn't did I?

By the way, if you were able to pay attention, you'd see that the statement that has your panties wrapped around your nutsack is in my sig line, not the post.

Since when is someone's sigline part of the topic oh observant one?

ETA, Is there any left wing syndicated radio not on Sirius/XM any more?
The best quote I was able to find was "Air America's radio efforts failed miserably. Any number of left-wing challengers to Rush Limbaugh have gone down in flames faster than the Hindenburg."
