I have said, for quite some time, now that this election just "feels" like 1980 to me. I think it's going to be a bit more of a margin than "close" but, I don't know if "landslide" would be accurate.

I think Romney is going to win by an undisputable factor (for anyone who doesn't belong to a political party that's found of cry-babying about how elections get "stolen"); I would say somewhere around a 10-15% margin. I don't know if we can call that a landslide.

I think the house will actually go D as a result of backlash against the Tea Party and I think the Rs might pick up a VERY small margin in the senate.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

In principle, Hillwilliam, I'm willing to agree with anybody, on something, somewhere, and yeah, your pick of Romney/Ryan in a squeaker seems like an obvious choice. So did Rubio for Veep, iirc.

I'm not willing to commit to it though. If anything, I like the Romney landslide, or at least a clear and undisputed victory, possibility better. The pieces are in place for it to happen, but it isn't too late for a dirty trick.

Before the first debate, if someone had held held a gun to my head, and demanded a prediction then and there, I'd have said Obama by a nose, unless he steps on his dick. Put a gun there now, and I'll say a clean, clear, election of Romney/Ryan, if present trends continue.

But I'm not putting money on the table until I know, instead of think.

Four More Years
This time with the Executive Order as an effective bargaining tool
Scott Brown goes home to show his "Womins" he's pro-woman
2 More seats in the senate, 5 - 6 in the house picked up by the Democrats

If Romney loses, NOT taking Rubio will be what made the difference.

If you have the courage of your convictions about how the upcoming election will go, this is intended to be a consolidated location to be able to go back and find your predictions. Both for you, and for others.
After the election, I'd suggest that it would become the default place to eat crow and toss some light-hearted barbs.
So, here are my predictions:
1. Romney/Ryan in a landslide.
2. House gets more Republicans than it currently has.
3. Senate: not as confident here, but I'll go out on a limb and say it will become a Republican controlled body.
Anyone else?
Firm

1. Romney/Ryan in a close, but indisputable win. (Read a headline that both parties have already started lawyering up)
2. House stays R, and they may increase their majority.
3. Senate stays D, but barely.

If things play out the way I'm predicting, is it still going to be the House R's wasting time by not passing bills the Senate would pass?

Yep. And I was saying Romney would need to pick a very traditional sort of Protestant, to offset the Mormon thing a little with the Fundie base.

Here's my prediction...
We will gain at least 4 seats in the house We will retain the senate picking up at least 2 seats And the Dead will headline the Mid-Atlantic Inaugural Ball for the second time. And I have already been in touch with my friend Dennis and ordered up this song for the opener or closer..

http://youtube.com/#/watch? v=jfz3hC3HBW0

Hint... Romney wouldn't know the Dead if their limo hit him in the ass.

I think it's a fair additional question, Hillwilliam. The President has spent the last 4 years blaming everyone and everything, except himself and his own failures, so who he's going to blame if he loses fits right in.

If he loses, he won't have to worry about blaming anyone. He'll just fade off into the sunset with a big pension and bigger speaking fees.

And his $35 million dollar Hawaiian house?
