LOLOLOLOL. Not utter asswipe, but I did not correctly state it, I meant Alabama, not Arkansas.  Since that was where these guys were from.

So, with that caveat, do you wish to withdraw your claim?

servantforuse -> RE: UNION! (11/2/2012 7:55:03 AM)

The company turned away was Decatur Utilities from Decatur, AL. The GM of that company was just on FOX Business with Stuart Varney. They made it as far as a Virginia staging area and are now heading home.

You might stick your tongue out further, I have been besmirched with utter asswipe that needs to be cleaned from me by the untutored perpetrator.

As I said in an earlier post. The guys from the Gulf Coast have forgotten more about repairing hurricane damage than the Jersey Shore crew ever knew.

I wonder which pole Snooki is gonna climb this week?

As for their qualifications. Southern utility company workers (especially in the gulf coast region) have forgotten more about repairing hurricane damaged infrastructure than those guys in the Northeast ever knew. Maybe that's why the union crews turned them away. They didn't want it to be known that someone else can do a job better, faster and cheaper.

Excellent [:D]

You responding to me? WTF?!?!

Is there something in the air today or what?

servantforuse -> RE: UNION! (11/2/2012 8:02:47 AM)

We all know this has nothing to do with being qualified. It has everything to do with union control. ON WISCONSIN

Well, they aint very good at it.  They don't seem to have improved on the sturdiness down there.

But we in the north and northeast who suffer tornadoes and hurricanes occasionally (in the NE) are not  overmuch bested by those down south when it comes to repairing storm damages.

If I was in NJ and found that I could have had my power back on sooner but for UNION bullshit... I'd be really really pissed.

mnottertail -> RE: UNION! (11/2/2012 8:08:42 AM)

Then move, or get involved in the legislation and change it.  There are laws in that state.

For someone who only has as "partisan dog" in this fight you seem to be "really pissed"

Thanks for proving my point with your link that a union card had nothing to do with licensing.[8D]

servantforuse -> RE: UNION! (11/2/2012 8:12:24 AM)

If  I'm a Decatur Utilities worker and they change their minds on this, I would tell them to go pound sand, literaly and keep driving south.

mnottertail -> RE: UNION! (11/2/2012 8:13:29 AM)

I bet that would scare em.

Yachtie -> RE: UNION! (11/2/2012 8:17:30 AM)

Think NJ will take non-Union federal aid?

bwahahahahahaha

/s

Hillwilliam -> RE: UNION! (11/2/2012 8:18:22 AM)

I'm surprised they havent gotten a call from someplace else. Lots of folks need help up there and I'm sure that there are a couple of local shops that aren't too proud to ask.

Thanks for proving my point that you are untutored in the matter of state licensure, and  which is an issue at stake, and nothing to do with whether or not you have to be union to be a brain surgeon or a master electrician, since neither must belong to a union, but need certification and licensure by the state they work in whether thru receprocity or other apprenticeship or any of the myriad of requirements.

Your answer to my post was, of course, utter asswipe.

Yachtie -> RE: UNION! (11/2/2012 8:29:49 AM)

Progression, it's a wonderful thing -

Great.  Many lives depend on this, and I am glad they are not using JoethePlumber types of woodticks who are not certified and trained professionals, who have served apprenticeships in the business under seasoned professionals which union cards are guarentees of.

It speaks well for itself.

mnottertail -> RE: UNION! (11/2/2012 8:39:00 AM)

The regressive whine is noisome, ineffectual and useless.  I see you are profoundly infected with the Dunning-Kruger effect, as all 'republicans' and 'conservatives' are.

What we really should be talking about of course is the Republican Governor over there who wallows around at the trough of federal government handouts and has thrown red tape all over NJ instead of introducing legislation to allow this, or by fiat since his state is under emergency conditions......nah, then his corporate buddies would not get their corporate welfare in spades up there.

But that is typically entitlement sucking republicans in the pockets of their entitled corporations.
