Why would I need proof of voter fraud to think it is a good idea to have to prove you are who you say you are? With or without fraud I think it is a good idea. Because not only is this an increase of wasted government time, but also government money for something they claim is happening, yet wont even investigate to prove is happening. They have asked me for id to vote for as long as I can remember. Doesn't seem to be an issue here. Takes about 30 seconds to pull it out and have them look at it. Why is that such a problem? The problem is that the state may use it as a subterfuge for requiring people to identify themselves elsewhere too. They already require you to have it for other things. If you do any banking, buy property or rent, try to buy alcohol or cigerettes, even lighters require id to buy if you look under 30. If you want to go to college or even talk to a counselor, they ask of id. If you are collecting any kind of assistance, you need id. That's just off the top of my head. So what do you think they are going to add to the list that isn't already there?
