Lets get one thing real clear real quick...I have never ever advocated confiscation of guns ,not in any way shape or form.
That is a non-starter,it is unreasonable to expect,it is unworkable to actually effect.
That out of the way I would like to assure you I am calm cool and collected...well I think I am,and than another idiot comes along and suggests that the correct response to shootings in our schools are MORE guns around our children.
Than my blood pressure spikes and I fear for the future of the republic.
I mean my god ,I begin to wonder just how many of my fellow citizens are complete and utter assholes.
The solution to gun violence is certainly not more guns.
The next thing you do Butch is point out that man is ,by nature a violent animal...fair enough.
Is it necessary to arm that violent animal with a semi automatic weapon ? An assault rifle ?
You point out man kills with sticks,with stones.....Butch how many children would be dead today if this particular asshole had entered that school with sticks and stones ?
Please,please,please...if you are going to come here and try to dissuade me of my point of view ,please do not do so with such poorly thought out ideas.
We need serious gun control,we need to close the gun show loophole,we need an assault weapon ban,we need to outlaw large magazines,we need to micro stamp ammunition,we need to take a serious look at bio-metric technology for weapons yet to be manufactured .
We need these things on the federal level,New York enacting tough gun control laws does little good if the great state of Virginia insists on the freedom to sell weapons,in any quantity,to any asshole who wants them.
We need to take these steps....or else we just admit that we accept what happened friday,we accept it,we expect to go through it again and we are prepared to do so at the alter of the Second Amendment and to make sure the Jeffs.and the Bulls can play with any toy they want...but you just might not be able to send your child to school....and expect him/her to come home.
