lol... why is that grasping? Im not going to waste my time trying to get into a theater that is sold out. Most people call ahead of time.

you are assuming things for which there is no evidence because it is the only way to support your position

It wasnt a position, it was a question as to whether anyone knew for certain. Do you know he didnt call before hand? Do you have proof he chose that theater based solely upon it being in a no gun zone?

If so, please provide that proof.

haven't gotten to talk to him so I can't prove that is why he made the choice the fact is he choose the only gun free theater in the area and these nut cases virtually always choose gun free zones or do you want me to believe that it always just a coincidence

So you are chomping at my ass after now admitting you are assuming that is why. Again, why proof do you have that it wasnt just a coincidence or that he didnt call and find out where tickets were available?

I must be a potential mass shooter... it seems that I own a make of pistol favored by these lunatics.

Could be. Do you know which theaters are in a no gun zone in your area? That seems to be the standard here.

the only theater in town is a weapon free zone so if I have ever gone to a movie I would know

And you are basing that upon the assumption that he went. Until Christmas, I hadnt been in a movie theater in years. The one we went too had no such sign. And its one within 20 miles of my home, and one that in 4 years of living here I have not entered.

Again, do you have proof?

I still don't have that interview with him you are ignoreing the pattern

I am not "chomping at your ass" I am merely disagreeing with you, can you prove he checked the other theaters and found they were sold out, that is just as fair a question as yours

What pattern? That he picked a movie theater based upon nothing we know about yet?

Obviously not. The one in your "examples of citizens" supposedly "preventing" this sort of thing didnt. The one in the mall.

Yet the mall wasnt a no gun zone.. and the guy who pulled the gun was behind a pillar... no guarentee the gunman ever saw him.. and the citizen never fired... instead went and hid

you previously acknowleged that the shooter saw him
a mall is a notoriously soft target
not only that but I said consistantly not always

I generally avoid gun discussions, but couldn't resist sharing this.

sure they made the decision to commit suicide before they went out and shot everything up.

They shoot until they have one round left, or someone takes them out.

It speaks more our dysfunctional prozak society that has been created than anything else.

Gun deaths and injuries have dropped sharply in California, even as the number of guns sold in the state has risen, according to new state data.

Dealers sold 600,000 guns in California last year, up from 350,000 in 2002, according to records of sale tallied by the California Attorney General's office.

No, I didnt... his story did. A synonym of consistently is usually... always.... Which is not the case.

consistantly the goal is to hit where no one can fight back and don't talk down to me when I took the reading test you bragged about elsewhere the test didn't go high enough to measure my reading (and no I no longer have the paperwork to prove it, but then niether do you)

There is a huge difference between me posting what he said.. and me saying it myself. Shall I start talking down to you now?

The link below is to a Slate.com page.
This link is a few days old so undoubtedly the death tally has risen.
