Hello A/all, I had a dog once. {And no, this is not a bestiality post, this is an example] Every time we would go to Dog Beach the dog would run around and try to get every other dog to do things. He would molest puppies. Stick his nose in other dog's behinds. Chase. Goof off. Meet people. Let other people throw things in the water for him to fetch. Etc. And then I would whistle, and he would run back over to me and when I signalled sit he would sit. He would roll over if I told him to. He would fetch things like the ball, the cat I pointed at, floating trees, oil derricks off the coast, whatever. While he was true in all respects to what a "dog" is, he was completely submissive to me when I would indicate what he should do. The submissive that I want is one who is comfortable in who she is. I want to learn who she is on a very intimate level. I dont go into the relationship thinking she is a Tabula Rasa that I can remake into a McDonaldland Happy Meal Toy. I dont really go in for the cookie-cutter cut-out submissives. I have no fixed idea of what she should be. There is something she needs to be, and perhaps I can be the catalyst that makes that happen. And in doing so, I find myself. I have posted this before, but Kevin Costner's horse in "Dances With Wolves" symbolizes it. Anybody else try to do something with the horse, they end up damaged. He whistles for his horse, the horse comes to him. When he needs to be woken up because of danger, the horse does that. It is similar to playing a musical instrument. It is similar to sparring blindfolded. It is similar to learning how to drive a high performance sports car. There is an energy, a muse, a wavelength that I aspire to connect to with this person, and in the sense that two wavelengths on the same frequency make something which is far more powerful than if you added them together as individual quantities. I am a part of a whole, and together we are much more than we would ever be alone. If I do not listen for and chase that muse, I dont personally think I will ever find it. But as usual, that is just me, and I could be wrong. Sinergy
