Let's not even get into the number of different derogatory terms used for other groups, or the ones that aren't just a single word (and thus not a problem, because it's "amen" that matters, not "may it be so"; magic). It's worth remembering the context thing: I've had mods asking me what this that or the other word means when I'm on approval. I suppose that's an upshot of having moderators sourced entirely from the 'States, but it does still make you wonder if they're going to be fully competent to deal with the fact that non American anglophones are often going to have idioms that differ from their own.
