Speaking of rape, I don't think it should be considered as this special crime that deserves more consideration over other crimes just as bad or worse such as murder...

Ok well you lost me pretty fast there, but I do agree with one thing. The sex offender registry has gotten kind of ridiculous, people can get stuck on it for fairly minor crimes and where's the murders registry?

I agree. Whats the point in putting an 18 year old on there because he/she was caught the parents of his/her 16 year old girl/boy friend. Thats rather insane.

Or for urinating in public, at least in certain states.

That's enough, it seems.

Yep.  There was also a case where a teenaged gal (15 or 16 I think) was charged with child pornography for sending a nekkid pic of herself to her boyfriend over her phone.

A teacher I worked with at a junior high school gave a girl an F, and she got mad and accused him of molesting her. It didn't take long for the police to figure out she was lying, but my then it had been in the papers, etc. He was a great teacher and still can't find a job. The board pressured him to resign as soon as the accusation came out. It was really sad.

Those I knew about... I think its a bit silly with charging someone with possession of child pornography when its themselves.

As a (one-time) teacher, I was told in training never to be alone with a female student *of any age* unless the door to the corridor was left open and it was during school hours. The mud of that type of accusation, no matter what the judicial result, always sticks.

A teacher I knew in CA had a student that wasnt doing well and she wanted a better grade, she offered to have sex with him and she touched him inappropriately.. he immediately called the police & had her charged.. and her parents had to come to the school, etc.. I sorta doubt she was in his class after that or any further problem to him.. He was a bit of a hard ass and didnt let students get away with any crap.. they were out the door if they tried, period..

I guess I'd be a hard ass, too, in saying, 'Good for him'. Most of all I hope the story got maximum publicity. A good lesson in the maxim, 'With power comes responsibility', whatever kind of power we're talking about.

i dont know that it got any publicity, I doubt the school would have wanted that.. he was my Dom for a while and told me about it one day after work.. But he gets a good salary and when he retires he will have a great pension, he gets medical and all that, he has a mortgage he needs to pay on his $500k house.. he is not someone to let any dumb student put an end to that for him.. he simply has too much to lose to go for bait like that and of course had he not done what he did in response, she could have made a false accusation and cost him all that..

I've been watching you complain about problems which I've never ever heard of let alone experienced. I asked you to back up a claim after you told us to do a google search and the results were not what you claimed.

You couldn't back up your claim and changed the subject instead and even then you couldn't cite so much as a single feminist doing anything like what you've been claiming. The best you had was a pure propaganda anti-feminist blog where it sounded like the author was suffering from paranoid delusions.

Frankly I've never heard about the stuff you're complaining about, at this point I'm asking do these problems exist at all? Let alone with a frequency that would justify a campaign to fix these hypothetical (or perhaps delusional) issues.

Well. . . Jeff's original point about the portrayal of males in tv and movies was interesting.  But then there was a lot of crying.

Try reading Greer's The Female Eunuch, Falludi's Backlash and Orbach's Fat Is A Feminist Issue for a start.
Then see if you can whine about the feminist "consensus" with a straight face...

All this could be fixed by having the next blood thirsty psychotic knife carrying slasher type killer in the movies a half naked, medium breasted, tall good looking barely legal bimbo.

I do not typically watch slasher movies.  No Jason or Freddy for me.  A few movies come to mind though, with crazy killer wimminz.  (If I get their titles correct.)

Basic Instinct (ice pick movie, right?)
Fatal Attraction (boils the bunny, right?)
Whatever Happened to Baby Jane (I know I have this one right.)

Dolores Claiborne (not slasher, but she does kill him)
Carrie (burns the whole school down, not that they did not have it coming)
Misery (Kathy Bates again )

The Hand that Rocks the Cradle

I know that there are some more, but I do not know their names.  As I said, I am not much for horror movies.
