Has this become "Poster X" vs tazzy verse 1209584? I mean this is the most common thread derail on the boards. And the longest song in history.

I don't even know what they're going on about.

It is a basic he said, she said she didnt said, he said she did said.

As far as what started it, I have no clue.

All I know is that it is one of the more common thread derails on these boards, and it all starts with someone telling tazzy she is wrong and then she produces the proof to her point, then there is a back peddle, a feint, then a thrust, followed by a strawman parry, then it breaks down to someone trying to prove that Tazzy said something she didnt, and her proving she never said what she is accused of saying.

Runs from 5 to 50 pages.

Btw, I found the letters you were speaking about here....

Pick this up tomorrow?

My eyes are obviously old and tired.

lovmuffin -> RE: Piers or Alex Jones... (1/11/2013 11:49:48 PM)

Tazzy, just because a SC decision might uphold a ban doesn't make it constitutional. 4 of the justices would uphold a ban I'm afraid. From what I can tell as of now though, gun control measures being proposed are highly unlikely to make it into law.

tazzygirl -> RE: Piers or Alex Jones... (1/11/2013 11:50:48 PM)

Wasnt it the Heller case that determined the government could ban certain styles... but not a whole group?

I am not blaming you.

The truth is you are intelligent, present valid arguments that I admit I do not agree with fully, and you can provide the proof to back up your statements.

It is not your fault that someone wants to argue a losing point with you.

Now granted when I take over the world, I am going to put you in charge of the public relations bureau, after a suitable period of indoctrination and hypnotism.

lol.. good luck! as you can tell, im rather hard headed. [;)]

BamaD -> RE: Piers or Alex Jones... (1/12/2013 12:05:30 AM)

they don't call it confiscation but the devil is in the details reclassifying all the "grandfathered" firearms as in the same class as machine guns will means most people can't keep them
dening them the right of transfer even by inheritance means in Fienstiens own words they would then be forfieted to the government
net effect confiscation
forfieture perrty much rules out compinsation in any form

Lucy, it tends to go quite when one asks for factual links. Then you get told "It was what I was told" or "Its not up to me to give you links"

I would be really interested to see Bama`s "Home office figures"..... [8|]

tazzy told me I can't post links because she didn't want to follow the trail I gave her and she knows all so I must not disobey

Tazzy didnt ask for a link about home office figures..... I did.

As Micheal Jackson once sang "I`m still waiting"

jlf1961 -> RE: Piers or Alex Jones... (1/12/2013 4:02:39 AM)

Politesub, I wanted to see those links too, so thanks for asking about them.

Would you do me a favor and find a link to detailed gun laws in England, if you could. I only seem to find sites that are American and seem to misrepresent the information.

With as much as has been said concerning the UK approach, I thought I should at least try and find out just what it is.

I admit my support for firearms ownership is cultural as well as having been raised around guns all my life.

But I do admit that there has to be something done in the states, but so far everything is aimed at legal gun owners, and nothing seems to be in the works for the large number of illegal guns here in the states, and in that respect I think that the American government is only looking at part of the picture.

One question. In your profile pic, are you drinking tea or coffee?

Just for anyone who is interested.... here is the actual data, not some bullshit remarks from people who cant link to the specific data, back up their claims with facts or call out someone for being ignorant.[sm=ass.gif][sm=binky.gif]

Is that a Letterman reference?? if not, Im not sure of the meaning:) never watch letterman.
Cant stand the guy, one minute hes funny the next hes lame. I used to catch his shows occasionally when I lived in the UK, and would watch the test card rather than listen to him, and Ive seen a few clips here and there, , not a leno or obrian or any of them fan, never seen a full carson show either.
Ive been called a heathen many times:)

My big issue with Letterman is that the loathsome Jonathan Woss' television career is as much his fault as it Jeremy Hardy's. I hugely admire both men's work, but I'd cheerfully brown trouser the both of them for unleashing that wanker onto the media.

(That said, Leno is about as funny as having a pet put down when your age is still in single figures, and O'Brien is less amusing than that, so it isn't like Letterman has stiff competition to face off, is it?)

Lucylastic -> RE: Piers or Alex Jones... (1/12/2013 10:04:00 AM)

Woss is a dickhead wanker of immense proportions.
Nuff said.[:D]
