quote:
So when you use the word holocaust you no longer have a definite meaning, and its meaning is dependent on the education level of the person you are conveying the information. So Merriam Webster doesn't properly identify the word? I posted this before, but apparently reading it really depends on the education level of the person I am conveying the message too. Definition of HOLOCAUST 1 : a sacrifice consumed by fire 2 : a thorough destruction involving extensive loss of life especially through fire <a nuclear holocaust>[/b] 3 a often capitalized : the mass slaughter of European civilians and especially Jews by the Nazis during World War II —usually used with the b : a mass slaughter of people; especially : genocide Further, just to be as clear as possible for the less educated readers, the synonyms for "holocaust:" Related Words bloodletting, bloodshed, foul play, homicide, killing, manslaughter, murder, slaying; mortality; annihilation, decimation, demolishing, destruction, devastation, [i]eradication, extermination; genocide, pogrom; assassination, execution ETA: In order for Hitler to have been performing "holocaust ritual burnings," he would have had to be present and there would have been more to the ritual than simply burning bodies. You pick and choose from the above definition only what suits you. Ignoring the other definitions simply shows your compulsive desire to keep pushing your own agenda.
