We generally google reverse search the images in the profile to find the obvious fakes

The images in my profile are not of me, are searchable on google, yet I'm not fake.
And what about the people who have scenic images from online travel agencies?
If I had to resort to some online tool to determine someone's authenticity, I don't
belong online in the first place.

You mean that isn't really your foot in the toe shoe? Shit, and here I have been fantasizing over that for weeks! Now I find out it isn't even you. Such a crushing disappointment.

Honestly, for all that people complain about the self portraits done in the bathroom mirror, perhaps that should be the required photo. It is like an instant verification that someone is real. Who else would snap a photo with the toilet in the background.

Oh, and this avatar is most certainly of the "real" me.

Just curious...but where does Subano get the idea that the posters to this thread are anal enough to care about all his rantings?

Sorry to disappoint you. If it means anything, my arch is actually more pronounced.

I don't know Lafayette... perhaps we should go make sure that classically enticing (coughs) naked portrait of the couple is truly who they say they are, and go look at the "official list."

We generally google reverse search the images in the profile to find the obvious fakes and then do a url search in google with the collarmefakes name in it to find the less than obvious fakes.
That quick search instantly knocks out about half the profiles right then and there!

The verification process, which we initiate before more than a few cm mails have taken place, weeds out half the remaining ones within three or four communications.

Oh but the toilette is so very French, you know. Adds a certain.....suaveness to the person's portrait.

If I need a website to tell me someone is a fake on here, then I am a lot dumber than I thought

I think there are the obvious fakes and the less-than-obvious fakes.
For the former, anyone with an IQ over 100 can easily dismiss them on sight; however, for the latter, it takes a bit of detective work.

Luckily, that detective work can be streamlined to consume less time than one would otherwise waste by actually responding to the profile.
Using that streamlined approach, I personally respond to perhaps something on the order of less than 1% of the profiles that I find appealing.

Just sayin'

Really????? Seriously? I've been on the internet for over 10 years and I have never ONCE fallen for a "fake". and believe me, I've seen tons of profiles on tons of sites, not just here, and I've been on this site since the day their doors opened and yet...miraculously, I've never fallen for a fake. The moment I do though I hope someone clubs me over the head, puts that little white coat on me and puts me in a rubber room.

ETA: Oh and I never once have had to research or check a website or put a photo in tineye to know they were a "fake". All I had to do was read their profile and look at their pic or yanno...here's an odd way of finding out.....talking to them.

I don't have to proof shit.

Your words alone are proof enough of my point.

I will also say that if NEED that site to verify whether someone is "fake" or not then you need to step away from the computer.

I firmly believe I can easily craft a profile that will be wholly fake and that I can easily get you to fall for it were I inclined to do so.
However, I just as firmly believe, based on your words alone (you are what you write), that you will never believe me, even if I proved it to you.
So it wouldn't be worth the effort to edify you that some profiles are rather cleverly fake.

Ask me how I know.

Because you're a sock?

Doesn't surprise me one bit if you are because I did think and still think you've been here under another name before. I'm also guessing the picture is that of your friend or your boyfriend.

I don't need someone to tell me what is fake online and what isn't. I have my own experience, logic, and intuition that I use thank you.

Keeping in mind that this is a discussion forum, I will state the obvious that you will be wrong a good percentage of the time if you only go on your own logic, experience, and intuition (if your posts are any indication of same).
Some of these incontrovertibly proven fake profile pictures (specifically of people passing themselves off using stolen photos) are pretty clever; but, if you've never even looked at what I'm talking about, you'll never know, will you?

ORIGINAL: poise
What you fail to take into consideration is, we do not need to go there to see who the latest fake is, because the majority of folks have enough common sense to figure these things out on their own.

That is the problem I'm failing to make you aware of. Sigh. And, which is the problem with the OP (in a different sense of the issue).

Since this is a discussion forum, I'll again state the obvious.
1. People who base their evidence on their personal intuition are dead wrong a healthy percentage of the time.
Why?
Because they never bother to check up to see if they're actually right. They ASSUME they are right.

Another statement that should be obvious to all is:
2. People who post fake profiles are (sometimes) rather clever.

Personally, my intuition is pretty good that I can spot an obviously fake profile a mile away - yet - I have also spotted a cleverly fake profile upon close inspection.

Why does it matter?

Well, that is the harder question to expound upon. For me, I enjoy teaching and pleasing and helping others who are less gifted than I in intellectual prowess. Lest you think that statement overly pompous, consider that most people are, well, most people are average in intelligence. Ask 100 people if they're smarter than the average person, and I'll wager a large percentage will think they are. Why? They rely on their intuition. And, in their minds, they're always right. That's the problem I'm seeing here.

I do agree that talking to them on the phone or via chat will prove them out rather quickly (although I'll wager that there are a huge number of women who only belatedly discover their newly found dream lover is actually, ahem, married.

Nope. I wont believe you because I have been online in various forums for years.
On collarme for years and NEVER fallen for a "fake" profile.

"If my posts are any indication of the same?" Hmm.... Which means you assume I don't have the intelligence?

First of all my dear, you don't know me. Secondly, although I am correct most of the time, what do you care about the times I am wrong? What's it to you?
I honestly don't get this "I'm going to prove something to you ladies, and here's where you are going to go look and see my proof."

HOwever, after reading further and finding you say this:
"For me, I enjoy teaching and pleasing and helping others who are less gifted than I in intellectual prowess. Lest you think that statement overly pompous, consider that most people are, well, most people are average in intelligence. NO ONE has said that in relying on their own intuition they are always right...NO ONE.
And as for needing to come online and prove that we are a bunch of individuals with lower intelligence than YOU?
Only PROVES how insecure in yourself you must be to have to go to the lengths that you have.

how many people find fake people on here and how many real people on this site..... that engage you on camera but won't let you see or hear them after four days.... due to the sub has not earned the right yet? and no phone number either...

Coming to a site like this can be like stepping foot onto some alien planet/culture and wanting to fit in as soon as possible. Breathe. LOL, vanilla dating rules still apply.

If you feel a little drunk and needy because someone has been pushing your submissive buttons...it feels great, doesn't it?...be careful not to give yourself away to someone you don't even know and don't know if you can trust.

Most guys who are here to watch women on cam, or talk them into cyber sex or phone sex...are not fakes. They really do wanna watch you get naked and slip that cucumber way up THERE, lol. They're having fun, stroking off, and are probably assuming that you are too. If this is not what you want, change your game plan.

If anyone acts like a jerk, your mailroom has a block button. On the Home Page, there is also a search feature half way down the page. Why not set it to male Dominants in your state and start reading profiles?

I've sent you a letter recommending two non-porn, non-fantasy BDSM educational books, and can find the names of munch groups in your area. You might be close enough to join AllPlayWV, a tri-state munch group (KY, OH, and WV).

IMHO, when you submit to someone, even online, you start giving yourself away to them. Be sure they want the whole person they are taking before you give your heart away.

LOL, as an ex-resident of California...who was surrounded on all sides by Spanish speaking people...I'm surprised that you chose the name Sub ano. (I know you wrote it as one word but, lol.)

Ano is Spanish for "anus", so I'm like, WTF? If you lived somewhere like Italy or Germany or France I wouldn't be going "Hm" and "Did he choose that on purpose?"

Yes, I clicked on the link. Didn't have to though. Years ago I had a Dom friend here who checked each pic of subs he was interested in through Tinyeye or Google and would tell the girl exactly which porn movie she stole the picture from.

If you do the same for males here, you'd might be surprised over how many handsome dudes or huge penis pix were stolen from fan magazines, news articles, and porn. That reminds me...I need to go check out a handsome fella a submissive female friend of mine is interested in.
