LOL, I'm just wondering if THAT could be fake. Is there really anyone that clueless? I kind of figure that the more clueless, the more it's gotta be real. To paraphrase--you can't go broke underestimating people.

Does anyone else ever get the feeling that the young generation today has a rule book they follow and anytime it skips a step or is out of whack somehow with the book, automatically it's false, fake, not real, wrong, etc....in no matter what it is, be relationships, jobs, etc....? Maybe it's just me.

What is "fake"? What is "real"? Is it possible that I am real, while everyone else is fake? Or perhaps everyone else is real, but I am fake. But if I was fake, would I realize it? Or would it be like The Twilight Zone episode where the mannequin gets a month to live as a real person and forgets that she ever was a mannequin?

Seriously, though, I've seen a lot of people talk about fakes here, but I'm never quite sure how it manifests itself. I generally assume that there's a live human being on the other end of an account here, but there's always a chance they're not who they claim to be. It happens just about everywhere, probably on any site where large numbers of people have accounts and interact with each other.

I think Obi-Wan said it best when he described the internet: "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious."

If only one can remain at the top of the food chain, then I don't think Mr. Bacon has a chance of surviving. I keep thinking of that dog in the commercial going "Bacon! Bacon, bacon, bacon! It's bacon!" Of course, no dog would think that plastic thing is anything close to bacon, although he'd probably still chew it up.
