ORIGINAL: Owner59 Criminals aren`t going to obey speed limits.......Is this a reason to forgo speed limits? Forgoing speed limits would be akin to allowing anyone to have any weapon. Adding to the list of illegal weapons is more akin to lowering the speed limit dramatically. The people who are going to break the law, are still going to speed, you are just making it more difficult and time-consuming for those that follow the speed limits. quote:
The "we already have gun laws" crowd are holding up a sieve......pointing to it and saying "hey.......look at all the places where there aren`t any holes". For these laws to be affective....they have to be universal and cover everyone/everywhere. You can't clamp down full bore, and think that will work, though. If they are already getting guns illegally, what makes you think they won't continue to get them illegally? It may be more difficult at first, but that doesn't mean it's going to stop, nor does it mean that it won't get easier as time goes by (and they build their supply networks)
