Valentine's Day sucks and is way overblown. Luckily, I'll be at a basketball game this Valentine's Day coaching 10 year olds scrambling for a ball like little maniacs (those little cobras are undefeated!!!! what a great coach they must have). It's a much better alternative than flowers.

V-day isn't that big of an issue for me. My guy surprises me with things throughout the year, when he's feeling it and me, and not because it's a holiday. I'm pretty much a walking disaster and he takes care of me when I hurt myself. He helps with dinner when I'm too tired, he cleans, and walks the dogs just because. Tonight we made dinner together, which was fun. That's far more valuable to me than a piece of jewelry or gift because it's supposed to be a romantic holiday. His little gestures are awesome and let me know how much I mean to him. He ALWAYS gets me when he brings home something a little sweet like a cupcake or maple bun :P. We won't be doing anything special, because I have court that day and won't get home till late.
