And no one here is upset that the cops think it is prudent to just go shooting at every pickup truck they see??

They've fired shots into TWO vehicles without even confirming who was even in them... That's not "on edge".

FFS, my buddy in LA says that the local news is warning people to be extra cautious, lest the cops get itchy and start shooting again.

Sure, its fucked up; and it shows how freaked out that they're not the only ones doing the hunting.

I didn't say on edge, I said too edgy as in excessively big difference.

Of course there is NO justification for this man's actions, but am I the only one who wonders if his allegations against Teresa Evans were true?

Who knows? This could be a delusion or the truth that started him down the path to delusion.

Marini -> RE: Police: 3 dead after ex-cop vows 'war' on other police, their families (2/7/2013 7:05:16 PM)

Does the fact that he has gone off the deep end NOW, mean that his original allegations were not founded?

He seems to have looked up to police as people out to help and serve the community only to find they were sometime greedy. Ready to beat somebody just for the hell of it. And police politics can be the slimiest of all. They were his heroes and they crushed his belief in them.

All the allegations he makes against them doesnt sound like anything new for the lapd. Until they catch him I sure as hell wouldn't be driving a van of any color in LA. They aren't checking things out, they're shooting first.

Thank you sweetie.

Very few if any people will care if the allegations were true, and nothing excuses his current vendetta, but I don't see any reason not to ask if his original allegations were true.

A good way to tell is usually cops do one or both of these. They either will be real silent. Or you'll get conflicting stories.

The former means the bosses in the tower are huddling together to get the official story straight. The latter will mean they are scrambling to cover individual asses. So each person give the story that gives his ass maximum protection.

I've been fuming about this most of the day. The police spokesholes have consistently been calling the attack on the cops in Riverside a, "cowardly ambush," and not one flipping reporter has asked them if they would characterize the police opening up and dumping clips into vehicles they think might be him, in the same way.

There were two cases of, "mistaken identity," like this. I've heard that in both cases, it was LAPD officers operating outside their normal jurisdiction who simply opened fire on vehicles they thought fit the description. The driver of a black Honda Ridgeline got off with minor injuries, when a clip was dumped into his windshield.

I won't get near condoning the murderous path he has taken, but I'm inclined to believe every bit of the report he filed, which ultimately got him fired from the LAPD. Yeah. LAPD does that shit, and it gets covered up. The stories of what goes on over in the Sheriff's jail are horrific as well. If it wasn't for the pictures of the aftermath, and the audio of the beating, the cops who beat Kelly Thomas to death for no reason whatsoever would still be working the streets of SoCal.

They are going to catch up with Christopher Dorner, and he is going to die when that happens.

What I wonder is if, in the aftermath, this will draw more attention to the issues of police brutality in the LA region, or only make it easier to discredit and attack those who raise the subject.

I find what they are doing to be very upsetting, cops should never pull stunts like this.Actions like this might be seen to show what Dorner said about other cops being above the law to be true.I realize the cops have every right to be cautious right now...but not to the point where they are firing on innocent civilians just because they are in a vehicle.

Hiya Rich!
Thank you for popping in, I agree with you.
He is going to die a fiery death, he might as well commit suicide.
He should have written a book, protested, gone to the media, or used another non-violent method to make his point.

He has become far worse than those he was trying to report.
At this point, he has clearly lost it.
He might have been able to help blow the lid off the cover on the corruption in the LAPD, if he had not become a crazed vigilante.

Wow. Here's the full, uncensored manifesto.

Thanks for posting this, I only read bits and pieces, I plan to read more over the weekend.

Manifesto.

HERE is my problem. The cops were looking for a dark colored pickup with a black man inside. THIS bright blue thing had two fucking women in it. THEN, the cops went and shot up another unrelated vehicle for the same reason. What the hell?

Perhaps after you read the entire document you might need to redefine "going of the deep end". consider for a moment what george III and parliment thought when they found out about one of their govornors being murdered and his home burned to the ground by a bunch of "wakkos" I can even imagine some of them saying something like "I really don't give a shit how this idiot is justifying his rage. "

It sounds like he should never have been commissioned.

That's what I thought. Both the Navy and the LAPD should have firm criteria for mental health for admission. I can't believe that they took him in, and trained him in how to kill.

Both the navy and the lapd have firm criteria for mental health for admission...how do you think he got in?

^this. if you read his manifesto, he was clearly in the midst of a mental breakdown when he read it. damn shame.
