Pretty common. I'd say a bit more than half the time. The limiting factor there has more to do with our/her energy levels than ability. We are good enough at "each other" to ensure as many orgasms as either of us wants to have.

Carol needs clitoral vibration to have an orgasm. I suspect it's simply because she was single for so long and so she's trained her body to react that way. I don't particularly care. It's just a part of the roadmap to me. I find myself to be "sexually insecure" but man, if her needing a vibe "crushed my ego" I think I'd just pack it in, lay down in a grave and die.
I don't think this has anything to do with BDSM for Carol and I. It has to do with two people who actually love each other. In my case, I love her enough to see her real self and how her real body/mind react. Over time I've learned all the buttons, knobs and dials. I know how to play her like the proverbial fiddle because I love her.
I suppose there were some areas that my dominant personality helped (even as I acknowledge that the least dominant part of my entire life is my sexuality). But honestly, when she told me she didn't like me going down on her because she feared it tasted bad I went ballistic in a quiet sort of way. I happen to LOVE the way she tastes and smells and I'll be dammed if she's going to tell me what I like and don't like.

But, admittedly, you - the giver - can't go around projecting your own enjoyment at giving onto the receiver. Too easy and common a mistake.
