ORIGINAL: thompsonx quote:
If you mean oligarchy, say oligarchy. You said "minority". To not assume that the word 'minority' has to do with race is beyond stupid Only to those who cannot understand english quote:
You still havent answered my question about whether you believe that major league ball clubs draft based on the politics and wealth of a person's ancestory. To believe that is also beyond stupid. common sense should answer your bullshit question. [quote[I'll let you in on a secret. Someone who is willing to come to a foreign country and play ball for a net salary of less than $250/week is far from an oligarch. Your boys work for less than minimum wage??? quote:
Have you ever met anyone from Venezuela? Yes To answer your questions Only those who cannot understand english would say "minority" when they meant "oligarchy". As for my "bullshit question" May I assume you don't have common sense as you have twice refused to answer it? Again, do major league teams draft players based on how much money their ancestors made or is your assumption that were part of the "oligarchy" so much asswipe? The minimum wage answer is that yes they apparently do. They play 71 games in 68 days in short season A ball. 3 days a week when on a homestand, they start at about 10 AM with a trip to the gym. Home by noon for lunch. At 3, they report to the ball park for practice unless they are the starting pitcher that day. Starters don't have to report until 5. Gametime is 7. Game is over about 10. For away games, they have to be at the park at 10 AM or 5 PM depending on how far away the game is to catch the bus. I've taken them to cash their paycheck. After taxes, they net about $475/2 weeks. Of that, several of them still manage to send a C note home to Venezuela or Dominica occasionally
