The statistics you've trotting out pertain to cases where children witnessed something horrific or were injured by violence. This girl didn't witness anything. She was inside a closet. When the intruder turned the doorknob, she fired through the door. She came out after he ran away. She didn't witness violence, wasn't subjected to violence, and wasn't injured by violence. Generally speaking, a "nut case" is someone who has lost contact with reality, and I think it's fairly obvious whose foot that shoe fits in this case. Other than he was left to watch 3 other siblings alone with, again, access to loaded firearms in the house.

And each factor in the case adds to those statistics. She didnt have any trainind... stress. Home invasion... stress Her own words ""I was scared and I didn't know what to do next," Kendra told ABC News." .. stress Hearing someone attempt to open the closet door.. stress Shooting a weapon she has never shot before... stress Hearing the guy yell out in pain after she shot... stress Not knowing where he was after she shot, ir he left, would he return... stress.
