The notion that she'd written a suicide note purely to have an alibi for killing the baby doesn't have anything to support it as yet, after all.

As I said, we dont know what the note said, how she was found, who found her, ect ect ect.

Im just not as believing as you are.

I'm always willing to believe that people are capable of being incredibly stupid.

We may have a perfect example.

I'm glad we can agree on something.

On this issue I have seen far too much. To many women taking many ways to get rid of an unwanted pregnancy. Yes, I am sure I am jaded to some extent. I have no problem admitting that.

Fair enough.
My own feeling is that if she was looking for an excuse to induce a miscarriage, she could have found a method that wouldn't have left her facing twenty years inside if she was thinking about that rather than offing herself.

I do feel for her in some ways. Suicidal ideation is...horrible and not rational in any sense. Once a suicide plan has been made and coldly thought out....one has usually convinced themselves it is actually a logical decision (at least that is how I was). The issue is that this baby WAS viable. There is no question at all that a pregnancy at that stage is...well, a baby is viable. Had the woman been in an accident at this term, every effort would have been made to save this BABY.

And as far as statements and questions about "what kind of life does an unwanted child have"....actually, an unwanted child can have an amazing life. I know because my biological mother actually chose to carry me and then give me up for adoption, and I have two amazing parents. When you take into account the 100's of thousands of couples waiting for a baby...the idea of an "unwanted child" is almost laughable.
