ORIGINAL: tazzygirl As much as I am all about the rights of the woman having control over her reproductive system, this strikes me as extreme. How many 11 year olds know the following? Who should not take Plan B Oral? Check with your physician if you have any of the following: Conditions: Depression, Tobacco Smoking, Migraine Headache, A Blood Clot within the Blood Vessels of the Eye, Retinal Hemorrhage, Poor Vision, Optic Disk Edema, High Blood Pressure, Heart Attack, Disease of the Arteries of the Heart, Blood Clot in Lung, Chronic Heart Failure, Stroke, Obstruction of a Blood Vessel by a Blood Clot, Blood Clot in a Deep Vein, Asthma, Liver Problems, Kidney Disease, Bleeding Not Related to Menstrual Period, Seizures, Bedridden Patient or One Unable to Move Around Freely, Pregnancy, Breast Cancer, Diabetes, High Amount of Fats in the Blood, Water Retention, Porphyria, Overweight Allergies: PROGESTINS http://www.webmd.com/drugs/mono-7300-LEVONORGESTREL+-+ORAL.aspx?drugid=17838&drugname=Plan+b&pagenumber=5 Not every woman will have to worry about taking it. But seems to me an 11 year old wont even know all about her own health to determine if this is safe for her to take. But as the attorney told CBS just a few moments ago, it isn't about 11 year olds, it's about women's choice... I agree it is about women. When she becomes pregnant, medically, she is a woman, regardless of how other people feel about it and disregarding how she became pregnant.
