Few in this debate ever seem to really want to actually think about the actual practice and use of these guns for just such a so-called protection.

You know, this should be an easy answer, even for anti gun nuts, but since you do not grasp the concept of freedom, or when you are being oppressed, how about the following crisis points.

1) The government starts incarcerating or detaining individuals based on political, religious or ethnic reasons.

2) You can be arrested for speaking your mind on issues.

3) When you are forbidden by law for gathering to protest something.

4) Maybe you might want to start shooting when the police can kick in your door without a warrant and drag family members away.

For me, I had and still have a problem with the patriot acts. I have a problem with torture. Finally I have a problem with the broad regulations concerning wire taps now in place.

So let me ask you, when do you figure out that you are being oppressed?
