Then I expect my fellow Americans - who may very well fully deserve my help to get them back on their feet and to make sure that they are safe and warm .... To do the same. Because otherwise, they are not living up to their end of the deal ...

There is a deal - I do my best, I help give a safety net to those IN NEED, and they do their best to recover ... One way or another...god bless all. I have no intent to offend. Sassysub

I noticed that too, Johnny. It was one of the reasons I decided to go ahead with the post. His denial is pure, undiluted, bullshit which asks all of us to believe that a history major and a lawyer that was eyeing a post on the state election committee doesn't understand the full force and effect of calling an African American man "Uncle Tom". I wasn't buying it, either.

I find it hard to believe that there's a person on earth that hasn't said something similar to this ... they know it's a racial statement. At that particular moment, they don't care.

Here's where I'm going to open up a whole new can of worms: I don't think one moment in a person's entire life makes them a racist.

I don't believe this guy's a racist (although he might be; I just don't feel like researching his history) based upon one incident.

I do believe that he was engaging in race baiting, which has become part of the stock-in-trade for the Dems, on the whole.

Because over the years the Dems have tended to be the champions for minorities in political matters. To see one throw himself under a bus in this way is pretty amazing. The level of disconnect is almost historically noteworthy.
