The "Assumptions'r'Us" post was a response to your mind-reading claim that if people would "listen to what we actually say or write they would have to confront their terror of the unknown and death." The clue to this possibly obscure fact is the "in reply to" link. See how that works? Claiming that I "defend Christianity with a passion" is a lie. Among other church folk (I'm wary of the label "Christian" cause it's too freighted with baggage), my experience has been that atheism and atheists are truly rare topics. ETA: Pascal's wager has always irritated me.

If someone asks me what church I go to, I say I don't, if they pester me I tell them I'm an atheist. That almost always results in them trying to "save" me. I've left 3 jobs since I got out of the Navy over that sort of nonsense.
