Ummm.. no.. I dont have that problem. I find my weight issues holds me back far more than it holds men back from wanting me.

Ok, that sounds almost like I am bragging and Im not!

Because it doesn't help us to feel protected when we're taller. Just my own opinion, i'm sure there are others who have different opinions :) And i am NOT "vanilla"! Nor do i even know where that came from!

I totally agree with that. I used to be 125lbs (underweight) and I packed on 55lbs in a couple years, mainly from coming to the US and the difference in diet here (corn syrup will kill ya). That put me in the overweight category.

Dating wise, and as far as the attention I got from men goes, I never noticed any difference at all.

Granter, I didn't make it to obese, like many Americans are, but you'd expect 55lbs to make some sort of difference if weight was really as big a deal as people seem to think it is. Instead, it wasn't the men that focussed on it, it was me.

It can be, but I have people flocking to me, who are always telling me I am sexy they'd fuck me, my daddy is a lucky man, and don't they wish they could be him , and I am 300 pounds, and at my heaviest 330.

It's not just recently either, I have rarely had a hard time getting men, and it's been at least  15 years since i was any where near the weight i am supposed to be.

And it's not jst a quick wham bam fuck thank you an gone, they are commited relationships, amongts the flings.
But I realize not every one finds it to be the same for themselves, and i could just be lucky. or maybe something else is going on lol.

Yep. The other side of the coin of men being too short is women being too large. It is as hard for women who are significantly over weight to find a partner. There is a prejudice there that is just as real.

Shesh - Dyfrynt - you couldn't prove your last statement by me. I'm 5'5', weigh over 200 pounds and have absolutely no problem dating. In fact, I have dated men from 28 years old and above. Not bad for a fat 50something. Of course, I am very secure in who I am and what I like. Maybe that is the most important thing - not just looks.

My sweetie and fiancé isn't into larger women, but is definitely into me - so, make of that what you will.

Hmmm. Which is more likely, that women will tell men the truth about what men's height means to them, or that men will till women the truth about what women's weight means to them.

Place your bets, folks!

I haven't exactly opened it, LP. I've kind of suggested only that someone else open it, on account of it's begging to be opened. :-)

Let's go for broke and add in age, race, and health status

I have appreciated the comments on this thread. I often feel guilty for having some exclusionary preferences regarding intimate partners. After reading Athena's comments in particular, I feel much less guilty.

I know for me, when I was a bigger than average woman.. (who am I kidding I still am) it wasn't the weight men had an issue with. More often than not it was my self esteem self, confidence and body issues that put men off. The weight was secondary to that.

As a P.S

I always dated/had relationships with taller men. I'm 5ft 8 in so taller men always seemed yummy to me .
I met Sir here over 8 years ago, He is only 5ft 8 in. In heels I hit 6 ft and He loves it.

It seems that men are NOT as self-conscious about being shorter than a woman as they used to be (think it changed when Billy Joel started dating Christie Brinkley). Used to be, if you dated someone short, he would want you to wear flats so not to exaggerate the difference. Like Bastardsbitch1, my guy loves me wearing 4" heels (except he considers them a little low) & towering over him at 6'....Then again...if they keep you on your knees...does it really matter?

I married a man 4 inches shorter then me, I am close to 6 foot. First time he asked I said " No I will not marry you!" He said "Why not?" Back in the day we had just about everything in common, and my reply was simply "Because you are shorter then me"
Obviously I changed my mind, since Ive been married 23 yrs, together almost 26 yrs.
I was very concerned over appearances, and what others thought. SO much so, it would have been my sole purpose at the time for not doing it. We have been through some pretty rough times, but one thing I am glad of, and that I didn't superficially base my decision on something as minor as height, weight, eye color, etc etc. I am glad I made the logical decision.

It's that men so far outnumber women, that the women can be very picky about getting their ideal when it comes to finding someone who is physically attractive.

It's not getting any better either. The current birth rate (world wide) is 106/7 males (different gov sites actually garnered different numbers but they all fell in the .06 - .07 range) to every 100 females born. By sheer numbers alone, 6 - 7 guys are going to be without female partners until ESS starts to swing the other way.

Wow... Didn't realize that the odds was so far against the males. mmmmmm. As I figure it... There is 24 to 28 men that are doing without because if me. And that is general population. Damn in the lifestyle community that is a hell of a lot of the numbers in the community. No wonder all the males hate me!
