It's illegal to do so without a permit, with a permit it is entirely legal. It is well within the right of the state, the county or a municipality to require a permit, they also require permits for certain types of games within a bar, the guy simply needs to buy the damn permit, and in Indiana, don't fuck with the Alcoholic Beverage Commission or you will simply not own a bar at all!(yep, they can close your ass down)

Despite the wording, I think I understand. Why wouldnt it be under the fire department? If something happens, who else besides the police will respond? Fire codes will have to be enforced, capacity monitored.

All that comes under public safety.

No need, they were in violation.

Indiana Code 22-12-1-23. "Regulated place of amusement or entertainment"

I'm sure that's going to come as a big surprise to the multi billion dollar entertainment industry.

I smell a fema camp party going on.
Never mind alex jones there's way better shit right inside the real law like realone says.
Some people just read the law they would like it to be.
But it's not, otherwise another lawyer cant read the exact same paragragh and come up with a whole other meaning to it.

There is a problem. Eventually you are going to need a permit to take a shit. It is ridicluous actually. In some areas if you put an old washer out on the curb, just do it at the end of the month or whatever when they do what they call "bulk item pickup". However if you happen to change your own hot water tank and throw the old one on the curb you will get a visit from the police for not obtaining a permit to fix your own house.

Having to get a permit for a demonstration is fucked up. If you want to protest the government you need permission from the government ? That is fucking bullshit but I'm glad it is going to bite them in the ass. In a survey not too long ago 29.4 % of registered voters responded that they thought an armed revolution would be necessary in a few years. Of course who knows WTF they thought that might mean. These were not separatists or unorganized militia nor people who live back in the woods and shit, these are registered voters.

Of course that tells me that it is unlikely that they had thought out the ramifications, ESPECIALLY of a successful revolution. Look at Egypt. You know you can predict what's going to happen in most of the world, but right now even the Egyptians don't know shit about bumfuky Egypt.

So the US government is doing a good job keeping a lid on the people. First by collusion with big business and media, to keep people from effectively organizing, and then by treating protester so wonderfully. I had not much love for OWS as I saw them as protesting not being able to afford the more expensive Benz, but the government seemed to be trying to put forth the notion that you just better stay in line or else. I think the seige at Waco was similar.

There is one thing about keeping a lid on things for too long. Refer to the recent events at the Boston marathon for more information.

Over the years of course it has been obvious that the system runs on money and that is the chief goal of government, to take as much as possible. I do see a change in strategy though, that now they have an army of officers to harrass our People, which has the net result of separating the sheeple from those with some goddamn backbone. Once discovered, the latter can be neutralized.

Next time you all stand there and say "there should be a law....", please shoot yourself. Ask a lawyer, politician or whatever, just how many laws are there in this country. Get more specific, how many federal laws for domestic enforcement only, or even get down to one subject.

Didn't someone say that we probably should judge congress not on laws passed, but on laws repealed ?

There is a limit. Know if I owned a bar and they fucked with me over playing music, I would turn the music off and turn the place into a political mecca. I would buy the house a round every so often to keep up the crowd and have political discussions about the ever encroaching Uncle Samuel. That the goal is to control every fucking blade of grass. It really is you know.

There is alot more where that came from but this is long enough. Suffice it to say there are enough fucking laws.

You cannot work on your own house and in some areas your own car, even in your own driveway. Do you think too many people called and complained because a car hood raised is unsightly ? Fuck no, shit like that is all part of the money game. And now they are after people who don't like to pay.

They can go fuck themselves. Hopefully this year I'll rehab another house or two without permits. FUKUM !

T^T

Edited to change "to" to "too" because I can't stand that error !

I'm afraid it isn't tinfoil at all.

I know of at least one restaurant in Miami facing the same issue. They are being dunned and fined for the ability to play live music. (The owner has band facilities, and plays after hours).

The good news is these kinds of outrages make it very easy to convert people into independents and/or republicans. The owner and his girfriend are minorities... LOL.. and have gotten dunned again, and again, and again.. and again...

Republicans ??? Only 4 repubs in the senate voted against this shit. Anybody who joins either party is insane.

Quite DK, in a world of stupid threads this has got to be up there with the best of them.
I know from my experience of running small businesses that the health and safety boys and various other council officials( or whatever you call them)can be a bit over zealous.
I've been hassled because my staff had a radio in the office that customers could hear so they tried to argue that I needed an entertainment license and they tried to make me get a TV license cos there was a monitor on the premises to watch the CCTV with.

But the point of most of these( dare I say it?) anti freedom laws is so that we don't get situations like The Station happening again, or the building collapse in Bangladesh that killed over a 1000 people. You can't just do whatever you want to do. People have the right to know that the club they are going to, or the shop they are visiting or the factory they are working in is not a fucking death trap.

If you have a problem with various US departments try and think of a sensible and valid argument against them because this stuff just makes you look stupid

You also told us that Orson Welles didn't include a disclaimer in his War Of The Worlds broadcast in 1938, and that FEMA are rounding up libertarians and incarcerating them in death camps, iirc.

The music caused someone to fuck up with incindiary devices ? That's kind of a stretch don'tcha think ?

But for some people any excuse to write more regulations will suffice.

Know what, I forgot who the fuck you were with that Orson Welles shit. I GOT THE ORIGINAL BROADCAST RECORDING MF and you know what ? They DID NOT broadcast any disclaimers except at the beginning and the end. YOU ARE DEAD FUCKING WRONG. I HEARD IT MYSELF NOW. They ran it like it was a musical radio show from a ballroom with news breakins, and had commercials that sounded like they were the normal sponsors. I listened VERY carefully.

I don't care what any fuckass wishy washy website says, you are fucking wrong wrong wrong. You want the original broadcast I will make it available for you, but I'm sure you don't want that becasue then you will have to suck Hunky's dick, and fucking swallow too.

Now quit being an asshole about something on which YOU ARE DEAD FUCKING WRONG.

The words were "IN" his broadcast. Before and after is like conmercials. If you tuned in two minutes late, there was nothing, and I mean nothing for the entire duration saying that it was fiction until the very end.

For definition purposes let's take the word "in". It does not mean before or after, it does not mean to the right or to the left, it does not mean in front of or behind, it means IN.

Therefore, the correction stands. Because either my penis is IN your vagina or anus or mouth, or it is NOT IT IN, no matter how close it gets. Ask a lawyer at a rape trial. That is the difference.

The disclaimers were not IN the broadcast. Fact. I will go to my other PC and get the file if necessary.

During the last station break, at the 40 minute mark, the announcer also said it was a play and the last 20 minutes is a monologue by Wells and is clearly not a news broadcast. So according to my recording of the broadcast there were at least 3 disclaimers.

The building did not have sufficient fire control systems or emergency exits for the crowd. It is perfectly reasonable for government to inspect and permit venues to prevent that from happening.
