I watched a fair bit of Canadian programs (since I am Canadian) and still do (since a lot of HGTV is produced by Canada), I love Rick Mercer and a lot of comedians have gotten their start cuz of CBC & those rules. So have lots of dramas and its helped Hollywood North (aka Vancouver, BC), as well as Toronto and other places.. then there is The Fifth Estate & Marketplace too.. and I have read that the CBC creates 4 times the economic activity than it costs.. If not for all that, Canada's talent would all end up in the US.. so bitch all ya want, I am happy the govt supports Canadian talent!

eh.. still Shows like little Mosque and bands like Nickleback make me cringe.. I like George Stroumboulopoulos so you are right..we have a few good shows too

Back in the 1300s tho it WAS NOT unusual to have child brides in any country or religion, let alone islam. For poitics, for alliances, for money.
Only in the late 19th century did it become a problem.

We have over 400 churches of various denominations in toronto, 8 mosques.
in 25 years, Ive only head the mosques being resisted

I have never heard of any resistance other than to Islam, either, but, I'm voicing my belief with no regard to any one religion. I don't care if it's a Catholic, Jewish, Islamic, Wiccan, etc. place of worship. I don't want to see the resistance to something being built based on the religion that will be practiced within.
