There's a couple of good potential band names here. "Subarachnoid hemorrhage." I like it.

"Savage Aural Hotbed" sounds pretty cool, even though I have no idea what it means. [;)]

back when the interwebs went beyond bullletin boards, there was an online game called acronophobia or something like that*memory is bad tonite*
The idea was the chat room was given a bunch of letters and you had to make the meaning up, then you voted on which one was best... I loved that game:)

I think it can be argued that feminism is a political issue. Many may disagree with the OP's style and particular statements he makes, but I think the topic of feminism itself would properly fall within the realm of politics.

Sure there are absolutely gender politics, I'm certainly not claiming otherwise. I'm contesting that the original post is about a real issue as opposed to a paranoid delusion.

naughtynick81 -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (9/4/2013 11:05:20 PM)

What crazyml is doing is trying to justify humour in gendered violence against men due to sympathy of what women go through. Such as being sexually harassed.

But I can imagine making an argument where I implied gendered violence against women should be considered humorous because the sympathies of what men go through with women, including unwanted sexual advances.

That would open a huge can of worms.

I have so much expected to reply to. It's hard to keep up.

Imagine a song about a male getting unwanted attention from fat chicks so he went around shooting them in the vulva?

Feminism is as ridiculous as masculism - both are sexism from different sides of the same coin.
Equality is an excellent goal IMO, but neither feminism or masculism seek it, and I support neither.

You just discredited your own argument.

How so exactly?

quote:

Yes.......there's that ......but there is also the fact that states are enacting laws designed to specifically shut down women's clinics. Other states are forcing women to take unnecessary vaginal probes in order to get an abortion (a medical procedure.) Let me know the next time any state enacts a law forcing men to have anal probes in order to have access to the healthcare that a supreme court ruling had to give them in the first place. In fact name any medical procedure decision a man makes that the gov't gets involved in.

Do men have a choice to force abortion on a child they don't want?

Therefore, you can't define it as "men having more rights"

tazzygirl -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (9/4/2013 11:12:49 PM)

I say I am a feminist, in the original sense of the word. My friends call me an egalitarianist.

naughtynick81 -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (9/4/2013 11:14:14 PM)

The word "feminism" is female centric within it's self.

OMG!!!! Such a breath-taking insight! A tour de force of staggering intellectual brilliance![8|]

Now that you have posted the entirety of your knowledge of feminism, don't you think it might be time to move on to a topic that you do know something about like ......eeeerrr ..... uuhhmm .... ahem ........ collecting chewing gum wrappers springs to mind.

tazzygirl -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (9/4/2013 11:37:23 PM)

tweak, you actually expect him to learn something about a topic he so obviously hates with a deep seeded passion? for shame

Yes, you are right. So sorry tazzy.

This is not a case where optimism can lift performance on its own. I'll try not to do it again.

naughtynick81 -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (9/4/2013 11:50:39 PM)

What exactly does contemporary feminism do for male issues and considering the amount of support for female issues compared to male issues?

"Equality" means equal standards, treating everyone equally.

If one gender has an issue, that's treated the same as the next gender who has issues.

Not with feminism. Females first, and always.

naughtynick81 -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (9/4/2013 11:54:04 PM)

The most dangerous jobs in America-- all "male-dominated" but predictably, feminists don't mind

You'll find all these jobs are stereotypically "male-dominated", dirty, dangerous, and some pay relatively little for the risks involved, yet despite the "male-dominated" nature of them, you'll *never* catch feminists insisting there needs to be an affirmative action program to get more women into these jobs.

http://www.latimes.com/business/money/la-fi-mo-dangerous-jobs-20130823,0,4305902.photogallery

Feminists "pick and choose" what areas they want equally in, instead of choosing equally for everything.

tazzygirl -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (9/5/2013 12:01:45 AM)

So your solution is to force someone into a job simply because of gender. Even the playing field.

Dont men have the same option to "pick and choose" the jobs they want to go into?

naughtynick81 -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (9/5/2013 12:03:46 AM)

Tazzy, stop avoiding the point.

Why aren't feminists protesting affirmative action for the undesirable jobs?
