What does "equality" mean to you? It certainly doesn't mean being inconsistent depending what gender is on the asshole end.

tazzygirl -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (9/5/2013 1:07:33 AM)

Men can protest the affirmative action when it comes to employment in traditional women's roles. Why arent men protesting that?

naughtynick81 -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (9/5/2013 1:10:55 AM)

Why aren't feminists protesting affirmative action for the undesirable jobs?

tazzygirl -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (9/5/2013 1:11:33 AM)

I answered. Why arent men?

No you didn't, you just side stepped the issue.

*In 2011, 96% of all secretaries and administrative assistants were women.

*The new study, which tracked data through 2011, finds that men now make up 9.6 percent of all employed nurses in the United States - about 330,000 men in total.

*Accounting Myth #3: Accounting is for Men only.

In every company where I have been employed or worked with, the ratio of women to men is either 50% or higher in the women’s favor. As a matter of fact, most are dominated by women

*While there are no statistics indicating the exact percentage of males in elementary schools, we do know that when elementary and middle schools are combined, men account for roughly 17 percent of the teaching force.

Why arent men pushing into these fields?

For the same damn reason women arent pushing into the fields you are complaining about. Because they dont want too. But why should a woman be barred from construction work simply because she is a woman? She shouldnt. Neither should a man be barred from nursing, even though the percentages of employment for the opposite sex are almost identical.

Not everyone os cut out to be a nurse, nor a construction worker.

Ya know what would really be helpful? If we stopped looking at the sex of people and start looking at the ability of people. Until that happens on a grand scale, affirmative action isnt going anywhere.

tweak, why do feminists pick and choose instead of equality for everything?

They don't. Stupid question. Learn before you talk.

Why aren't feminists pushing for equality when there is an inequality against men, while claiming the movement is about equality, equal treatment for all?

A movement can't be about "equality" when it only has consideration to one side of the story.

naughtynick81 -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (9/5/2013 1:29:02 AM)

Name me one DV shelter where it has equal consideration and support for men under feminist funding.

crazyml -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (9/5/2013 1:33:36 AM)

How many women's shelters are funded by MRA organizations?

naughtynick81 -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (9/5/2013 1:38:42 AM)

Oh I thought feminists were all about equality. I guess wrong. If men do want equality...well....

Bless your heart.

This has been explained to you so often.

Here's a link that shows how dv services are being provided for men, by DV orgs originally set up for, and by, women.

ETA... the link!

Yes, my apologies! I forgot to include the link.

Although, it should surely be entirely redundant... you clearly don't read any of the things you link to in your posts.

As all of them actually contain information that kills your argument!

naughtynick81 -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (9/5/2013 1:48:56 AM)

The fact alone that less services are provided to men even though each and every victim is a victim in realistic human terms, women are considered more important because they are women. :/

Tell me Nikki, is it easier for men to find shelter or for women? Lets see how much you really know.

You haven't actually read any of those reports nick.

You don't appear to have read the fucking page you link to.

The page you link to reports that men sustain over one third of all DV-related injuries.

Do you know what "Over one third of all DV-related injuries" means?

It means fewer than half.

And do you know that when YOUR OWN FUCKING LINKED PAGE says that fewer than half of DV-related injuries are sustained by men it means that the MAJORITY of DV-related injuries are sustained by women.

Were you shit at fractions at school babes?

naughtynick81 -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (9/5/2013 2:37:38 AM)

Crazyml

I am sorry if you're a bit slow. But as you were saying, jokes about gendered violence against men should be given a pass because of the sympathy women go through with men, right?

So if there are plenty of cases of men being victims, why doesn't the same apply when gendered violence against men happens?
