Yeah ive done it a couple of times the first time I sat outside in the blazing sun for five hours waiting for the train to leave. I really hate walking around the damn place with luggage, funnily enough I sat on barricades!!

My favorite memory of the 1995-96 shutdown is that we had a blizzard the weekend before the government was finally due to reopen. My cats were glaring at me, saying "Will you please get the fuck out of here and let us sleep?" It is easily the best time of year in DC. It will be crowded though.

No sign of President Obama ordering cops to attack, no locked fences erected by any construction equipment, the veterans themselves saying nobody turned away. And a clear blue sky. I was there yesterday.... you'll need some decent tools to move them now. The Barry-cades are wired shut, and surrounded by mesh fencing.
