all I'm noting is the number is available. Claims to the contrary are false.

a number that is not a number by its very definition at this point.

Epic-er Fail-er.

thompsonx -> RE: Pink Slips for Health Insurance (11/6/2013 2:18:05 PM)

OH hell, no. I think you can pretty much discount anything this administration says the moment he says it.

So now we know that obl is not dead because you say so[8|]

BenevolentM -> RE: Pink Slips for Health Insurance (11/6/2013 11:41:58 PM)

I must admit that many of the liberal arguments do seem like excuses. How Obama didn't lie because you had to read the bill. Come on. What Obama did is on the scale of what George Bush the first did with Read my lips, no new taxes. Hopefully, this will only be a hiccup and hopefully the Republican party is not trying to sabotage ObamaCare because I am reminded of the words of David Icke, Problem Reaction Solution. Is the Republican party trying to create a problem in order to solve it or will the Democrats just fail on their own with no help from the Republican party?

Phydeaux -> RE: Pink Slips for Health Insurance (11/7/2013 12:22:50 AM)

George will at his acerbic best, makes the case of Cash for clunkers as beta of what was to come for affordable health care.

He notes that the program, designed to aid the low income:

a) probably increased the cost of cars.
b) generated jobs at the cost of 1.4 million per job.
c). Was a teensy bit more effective than the ethanol program in preventing co2.

Anyway.. read the details:http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/george-will-clunker-progressivism/2013/11/06/95faf0be-4676-11e3-bf0c-cebf37c6f484_story.html

Current number of people who might lose insurance due to obamacare:

52 million.

http://www.mcclatchydc.com/2013/11/07/207909/analysis-tens-of-millions-could.html

6 people got. 52 million lost.

Of course, we're waiting for updated stats from the government on this debacle.

EdBowie -> RE: Pink Slips for Health Insurance (11/8/2013 10:44:18 PM)

So 1/3 of the US workforce, in just a few days. And of course the proof is... errrr... umm... What was the question?

Its actually not a surprise ed.

The press is only starting to catch on that the same issues and problems in the indivdual plans are going to hit the group plans.
To some of us, the problems have been obvious for 3 years. Sorta like water is wet. Lead is heavy...

mnottertail -> RE: Pink Slips for Health Insurance (11/9/2013 5:01:28 AM)

Then it is surprising is it not that not one nutsacker ever offered amendments to the law to fix what ever nutsacker seems to know.

LOL.. ammendments were offered many times Ron. And turned down by party line votes in the vast majority of the cases.

So if you want to have no republican input in the crafting of a health care bil - you own the consequences.

mnottertail -> RE: Pink Slips for Health Insurance (11/9/2013 6:01:35 AM)

No they were not. No amendments to fix that law.  Never.

LOL. Ridiculous. Go look at the legislative history.

mnottertail -> RE: Pink Slips for Health Insurance (11/11/2013 7:11:20 AM)

I did; nothing.  Perhaps you might forward some proof of these fixes that were attempted by the nutsackers.

So there are several books on this topic, the longest I have read is 327 pages. But here is a shorter excerpt so you may educate yourself

mnottertail -> RE: Pink Slips for Health Insurance (11/12/2013 5:37:50 AM)

Nah, you educate yourself.  Nothing there.   So, agreement that you lied and have been lying is accepted by your inclusion of a link that does not claim any fixes to the ACA proposed by the obstructionist nutsackers.

Next time, know what you are talking about, it is effortless to catch you in your lies.

Honestly, I have no clue whether OBL is dead or alive. When someone lies to me as thoroughly, and consistently as Obama has I pretty much discount everything immediately also. At some point, a reasonable person decides "this is a pathological liar" and reacts accordingly. I personally would not trust anything this administration says without seeing HARD evidence that it is true. Pretty much the same is true of the democratic party (republican party was already there in my mind).

Out of curiosity, would you believe any "updated stats from the government on this debacle"? I ask because I would not... not without SUBSTANTIAL and HARD evidence to back up whatever claims they are making. There is, at this point, way too much face saving pressure for me to trust our Liar in Chief if he told me the sun was going to rise tomorrow.

This is one of my big problems with politics in general. When you realize that they are all pathological liars... for real... and all of the data can be assumed false then what you've got is a totalitarian regime posing as a democracy.

So.. the news out yesterday is so far

People who have lost health insurance due to obama care >2 million.
People who have gotten health insurance through obama care <150,000.

Remember the old line - if you like your insurance - you can keep it?
LOL. Not so.

Of course, we all knew that was a lie.

http://www.kaiserhealthnews.org/Stories/2013/October/21/cancellation-notices-health-insurance.aspx

There are many other sites reporting the same of course.

These are the insurance plans that didn't conform to obama care requirements - and so of course the companies are required to cancel them.

And - of course all part of the plan to force people to obama care.

But here's the next shoe to drop - since you liberals are sooo clueless.

The # of insured will drop - like a rock. The number of people that will get insured will be *significantly* less than previous.

Net effect - a bunch of insurance companies are going to lose hundreds of thousands of customers. Might be short term - might not be.

If it goes on too long - you're going to have insurance companies go out of business....

Actually, the number of folks who were able to complete the forms was/were....50,000.

They only have to get 7,950,000 more to sign up by March to meet their goal.

Yeah....that's doable.

Sure. Piece of cake.
